Good morning!!!!

Had an old high-school friend visit yesterday. He and his wife just celebrated their 50 year anniversary and live in N. Houston now. Little did we know that our high school sweethearts would tolerate us for 50 years. They will be moving to our neighborhood in the spring.
Kyle will remember the area where he lived growing up - off Anderson Rd close to S. Post Oak.
Good one on High School Sweethearts. We made it 57 years. My favorite statement is she kept me for 57 years.

18 with a high of 38 later. Nice almost full moon out there right now.

Good stories on high school sweethearts. Wow, Ron, 57 years.

BEF and Ron, hope stomachs are friendlier to you today. I often spend my last hour or two of sleep in my recliner after getting up at 2 or 3 for bathroom.

Phil, those were some beautiful pieces you posted pix of.

NHBX, glad the weather wasn't too bad for you to have the service for your sister.

Sodamo, my dog "made" me lift her into and out of the back seat of my Tundra until about a month ago, when she finally realized she could jump in and out it. I have a big dog crate strapped in on the floor with the seats folded up...she's been using it since she was 8 weeks old...of course, back then I had to pick her up because of how high it was...as she grew larger, I guess she was trained to wait and be picked up to enter or exit. Glad I'm not picking up 65 lbs anymore. I use the command "kennel" for her to jump up, same as I did each time I picked her up from the beginning.

Took Della back in the woods yesterday and we tracked fresh bobcat tracks for about half a mile until we got too far off our property...bonus was that it had walked right in front of one of my game cams, so got to see it, and the time stamp.

Good Morning,
Ct, 22 to start going to 36 hopefully!

I am going to guess that the flow rate from the nozzle wasn't strong enough for the whistle.
Bill, you are correct ! Even when I pump in low, that’s about 40 gallons per minute ! So if much lower flow than that you won’t hear the whistle!

Off to church now , hope all have a good day ! 🙏

Good morning, the low is 20 and going to a high of 25°F. Wind N 1 mph. 30% chance of flurries changing to 70% chance of flurries this afternoon and snow tonight, about 2".
Snow tomorrow another 2". I WILL be plowing tomorrow.

I insist on a working fuel gauge in whatever tank where I cannot physically 'see' the level of fuel. Sure on the fuel oil tank I can always go by the 'sweat/frost line', but I would rather have a real gauge. That was the longest my Fill Rite pump has ever pumped.

Thomas, a little fresh air is rejuvenating and getting it in the evening was good for you.

Until it snows a lot more (2" more) I am on energy conservation duty.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning
29° and mostly clear, high of 38 is predicted.

Yesterday’s pancakes and snow removal went as planned.
Except for the part where I went into the shop to get the tractor and it was 10° colder than the thermostat was set for.

So after parking the tractor, I looked into that. First issue was that the 24v transformer broke its mount, and fell to the bottom of the furnace disconnecting itself. The real problem was that something happened to the blower wheel, causing a vibration.

I put it on a shaft and mounted it on the motorcycle wheel static balancer, and added some screws and washers for static balance. I didn’t have a lot of hope for that, because there was nothing obvious like a missing weight that would point to a cause. And I was right, it was some kind of dynamic issue with the wheel, possibly a crack in the laminated disc in the center that mounts the hub, and in a center lamination, not visible. I put in a wheel scavenged from my buddies scrap pile that was the right diameter, but an inch narrower. It’s running smooth and quietly now until the OEM replacement gets here.

Next up was drilling the welding table, which went far better than I expected. I’m extremely pleased with the Chinese mag drill.

Here ‘s a slug that the annular cutter leaves.

That pretty well killed the day by the time I cleaned up and pint all the tools away from the day’s activities. So it was off to dinner with the family, too late to sit in front of a fire, so we just went to bed. There was a big walk-in sized fire place at the restaurant with a fire (admittedly gas logs), but it served the purpose.

Now I’ve got to figure out what to get into today.
