Hello and thanks for any help in advance.

While clearing snow with my Kubota B2620 the rear level control lever stopped working with my snowblower all the way up. The lever is all loosey goosey like it's not connected to anything and I can't figure out what's not connected, or what might have fallen off! I add the B2601 to the title to get more attention because I know these two tractors are very similar (B2601 newer version of mine and seems a lot more common - I expect the linkages are similar).

I posted a video of the linkage action here on youtube.

Does your tractor have draft control (e.g. 2 levers, one for position and one for automatic depth control level?) On that size tractor I doubt if you do. If you do, the draft control lever probably got set wrong accidentally. Also, the way you described the issue we cannot tell if you did the same thing many times in the past and it worked fine yet now fails --OR-- might this be the first time you tried it with the blower up to the max? Maybe a little clarification will help.

I can't tell for sure but your two photos make it look like the circled lever member is not clearing that dark gray hydraulic line or tube or whatever that is. Is that related to the issue?

In the video, it's possible to see that the roll pin that connects the lever to the shaft, walked out and it's almost falling out. I think this is your issue.

the I believe the B2620 has the quarter-inching valve vs. position control for the B2601.
Good Luck!

THANK YOU!
Now - how is this pin persuaded to go back in? I tried tapping it in (lightly), no go. Not sure I see threads. ?

Oh maybe the lever needs to be in the middle position for this to go back in, that might make sense. I'll try some more.

The tricky part now is to align the hole on the lever with the hole on the shaft. You may want to get a punch or a bolt that you can put by hand on the opposite side of the roll pin to make sure you have the holes aligned properly. Then should be a matter of hammering the roll pin in place.

And how! I tried out there in the blowing snow, no joy. I could not get the pin in, so I took it out to look at in the comfort of my heated kitchen. I did try to stick a micro screwdriver into the shaft to see if I could find the path but was unsuccessful. There isn't much room down there and I was at too much of an angle. Will have to try again next I have an opportunity. For now, the bucket is clearing the driveway just fine.

Does a roll pin stay in place without any additional hardware? I mean I guess my predicament would indicate not :D but it would seem it's _supposed to_. I estimate that the slot down the length of it allows one to 'squeeze' it into place, whereupon it would 'open up' and lock itself in?

The culprit, for any future searchers who might stumble on this problem:

@ptsg - just a very big thank you for spotting this! Had I lost it I wouldn't have even had a hint at what the problem was. You saved my pin, and a trip to the dealer.
