I have a plastic pretzel container half full of pennys and I can’t lift it.
A couple years ago gave grand kids a 5 gallon carboy (glass jug) full of pennies. Had to use hand cart to move it. Son and I lifted in to truck. I think grand kids got $120 when took to credit union. I now have a pint jar with a coin counter that is over $120. Mostly quarters. Much easier to move around.

Good Morning,
Ct, 26 to start going to 40 ! Quite a change from yesterday at 60 ! 😳
Work today, but I work better with a little chill in the air!

Yesterday I mentioned AllTrails, probably the best overall app for the US
Billy, thanks will look at that app ! Do you have the paid version? No hiking today for me, but I get to drive the Peterbuilt and pull some hose ! 😉

I played Santa last night at an adult party, hopefully they took some pics of me which I will try and post at some point ! I borrowed the Santa outfit Fromm the FD !

Hope all have a great day ! 🙏

30 outside this AM, heading to lower 40's. Yesterday was a pretty good rain day.
Today should be clear and cold.

Daughter number 2 had to stop and assist motorists on the interstate yesterday as they crashed in front of her. Someone lost it in the rain and took out multiple cars. Daughter managed to avoid it all and assisted all involved. She was pretty shook up and returned home instead of going to work. She said people drive like crazy.

Today I might run out with wife to a local lumber mill. I need a true 2 inch board cut to specs for the Milk House. My reclaimed board is not looking like it made the cut. LOL. Just not wide enough.

Speaking of coins, we dropped the in-laws collection off at various times these past few months. I actually inspected over 2,000 pennies. Found some steel ones in the collection and a few red ones. We had them in take-out food containers. Each one looked to weigh about 3 to 5 pounds. I still have a collection of pre-1950 wheaties sitting on my desk I need to go through, one more time.

Estate drama continues, my Dad's account got scammed. Bank says hold expired a few days ago. WTH? So now trying to recover funds. Looks like a known scam since the 2009 year as far as my research went. Bank seemed clueless.

Hope all have a good day, be safe.

Good Morning!!!! 42F @ 4:15AM. Light rain early. A mix of sun and clouds by afternoon. High 56F. SSE winds shifting to NW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Lots of rain coming in up north over the next few days, but only a small amount here. Enough to make the weekend into an inside proposition.

Yahoo did end up pulling the plug on its web portal on Tuesday, so yesterday I got set up with one called ProtoPage. Not as visually appealing, and I'm missing a widget or two like an almanac, but the news feeds are better. I'll have to rebuild my bookmarks list as i discover them missing.

Also started a hunt for a replacement for Adobe's Dreamweaver web development tool. My standalone version won't run under the current MacOS, and I don't use it enough to warrant a $225/year subscription.

FedEx showed up late in the day with the new phone, and the data transfer from the old one went very smoothly via Bluetooth. I wasn't able to transfer the cellular subscription though, so might have to hit an Xfinity store for help today.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

GOOD MORNING! No freeze warning this morning. 27˚ heading to the 60s.

PT this morning then if nice outside spread 15 bags of mulch, if not work on putting a sealer in the shower.

Rip I too have a box of estate coins most from the early 1900, pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, some, according to the internet, are worth more than face value. Where would I take them that will pay their collectable value? Should I take a few at a time so that they won't try to get a whole box discount? If any TBN coin collectors are out there that are looking for specific coins, I probably have it.

Starting out around 25F and dropping to 20F.
Strong winds in the morning hopefully dropping off for the afternoon.
Sun cloud mix.
Few days of cold and back above freezing by sun/mon.

Since we're doing the coin story thing...
My nephew was aboot 11-12 when he was visiting with his mum.
I had a large flower vase that I used to toss my extra change into.
It was aboot 18" tall and had a curvy figure.
Being aboot 2/3s full it had some weight. I'm guessing 40+lbs. The glass itself was heavy enough.
He kept looking it over. Remember here in Kanuckistan we have the 1$ and 2$ coins and no penny.
If I remember right it cashed out at over $450.
I told him he could have it if he could lift it one handed straight out at his side.
At that time, probably at the peak of my powers, I could manage but not without stress.
He battled that vase all afternoon with no luck. But if determination was a factor he would have tossed it on the roof.
When they were leaving I gave him a crisp $50 for that reason. He just wouldn't give up.

29 reaching for 45. Bright moon earlier this morning. Got over an inch of rain.

Mostly, I think you are right.

Roasted 3 batches of coffee yesterday...company coming Saturday.

Yesterday I mentioned AllTrails, probably the best overall app for the US and many other parts of the world...provides realtime GPS logging of your hike on a map base on your phone (also a PC version). You can view other hikers' hikes and reviews, and see total mileage and elevation gain, and photos taken along the hike, attached to the trail via GPS coordinates. Filters let you pick trails of a certain length, or for features like waterfalls.

They have a free and a paid version. One cool feature on the paid version takes the trail, applies it to a 3D aerial view, and progresses the length of the hike from the sky...gives good perspective on elevation and physical features.

One other way to check out a trail is to search it on YouTube...many are well documented.
I use AllTrails, free version.
You can hike Grand Canyon on google maps, which is the only way I can now go down.

Hopefully my big jug of Pennies were prescreened for wheat Pennies, got a bunch of those also. I also had several mugs of state quarters that I’ve been collecting. I made a state map once to hold them, out of oak wood, gave a couple as gifts, never got mine finished. Will take a pic of it later.
