Good morning! 51˚F this morning with a N wind it will stay in the 50s. Tomorrow we will be in the 30s. I need to start preparing for the first freeze even though none is expected in the 10 day forecast.

We had the Hide-A-Hose central vac system tied into our current central vac. Now two 55' vacuum hoses are sucked up and stored in the wall and attic piping after use, an interesting concept and a real space saver. This house seems to produce an extra amount of dust bunnies in the Fall/Winter. They weren't a problem in the Summer.

I still need to pick up about 20 bags of black mulch for all the hedge beds around the house when I'm at Home Depot today picking up freeze protection supplies.

Ct, 36 to start going to 48 ! Yesterday it never made it to 46, I think 44 was about it ! Looks pretty overcast now, so don’t think we will see any sun today ! Rain starts again tonite around 8 pm and then all day on Wednesday!

We had 2 of the grands yesterday afternoon and for dinner, the parents were out at a wine tasting event last night.

Tonite we have our yearly elections at the FD for various positions! The elections always interest me, it shouldn’t be a popularity contest, but who the more qualified individuals are !

Hope to get a long walk in, and then who knows what I will be doing ! I’m guessing I need to wrap some Christmas gifts rather than last minute!

45 outside this AM, heading to mid 60's. Not sure what the weather will do today. Foggy out. Started rolling in last night. Was on the road again.

Not sure what the day will bring. Wife is busy with Milk House stuff, making it habitable for her mom. Looks like I am done with construction, except for the water heater enclosure. That's going to have to wait.

Got lots of paper work to do today, lawyers, real job, government reports.

Yep, I saw that, it was tempting to bail, but decided to file anyway, since I don't want to keep up with the case, and miss a possible new deadline.

52 and going to be a wet 60 today with Tstorms.
Didn't do much yesterday. Been moping around the garage doing very little except walking and playing solitaire. I gotta get my head back in the game but the weather isn't helping much.
Step count is up at least. 12,500 on the day.
Not sure what today holds except for walking between rain showers

Good morning
45° and foggy after a day of drizzle yesterday. More rain today.
Yesterday was a slow paced day, did some small chores, played with Zoe a bit, did some graphic work and cut out some sandblast mask for the Rockman.
Went and looked at a low mileage but 10 year old Lexus with wife, literally belonged to a little old lady, now part of her estate.
Came home and started a fire, we sat in front of it until bed time.
Today starts with breakfast with the professor, then probably a stop at the airport to update the databases in the little plane, and reclaim the hat I left in it on Sunday.
I’ll make a decision, and likely an offer on the Lexus today, then see what else pops up.

Speaking of popping up, I use the premium version of Tapatalk, absolutely no ads on TBN.

a fine visit to the oncologist, he said looking good, hopes to discharge me at five years in the spring.
I'll take it...
though considering my family history, pretty sure cancer will come back, likely laryngeal like my father, mine caused by
scarring of vocal cords due to acid reflux.
but for now, looks like I can buy some green bananas.

What I wrote wasn't accurate. The payments came from the Fire Victim Trust, established to dole out proceeds from the PG&E bankruptcy brought on by all the wildfires their power lines have started since 2015. Initially, the IRS considered money from pain and suffering and some other reasons to be taxable. In my case it amounted to about 20% of the total settlement. But to answer your question, I think you can only deduct insurance payments if it is for a business, in that it would be deducted from income to arrive at a taxable profit amount.

Yesterday I had a procedure to remove bone spurs at the end of a couple fingers, done under local anesthetic. Now they're wrapped up like mummies and are still pretty numb. So far, the only pain was the six shots of anesthetic, but I've got ibuprofen and acetaminophen standing by. Typing is interesting, and the delete key is getting a workout. So I'll stop here...
