46 high in 60s today got over 6000 stepped yesterday 385 tons down from 11:00AM to 4:00PM. Eight trucks 1.5 minutes to empty per truck. Mostly you are correct I’m crying right now. Thanks to others most difficult time I’ve ever experienced. But sometimes if you just look you will find beauty the red leaves are amazing. Prayers for all our Country

45 outside this AM. Hard to believe it was t-shirt weather for the last few days.

Need to make a hazard dump run this AM. County offers up one day a month to get rid of chemicals and what not. We cleared out TWO truckloads of chemicals and oils from the in-laws. I got a third on the way to our county this AM. I had a superfund EPA site going at the in-laws for a while. Scary that one person could buy and not fully use all that stuff.

Hope all have a good weekend. Not looking forward to the time change tomorrow. Or is it not looking backward to the time change. LOL. Be safe.

Morning all, 47 going to 62 and sunny dry.

So wife went shopping during lunch, as soon as she got on route 1 (main thoroughfare) the car went into neutral and would not drive, while she was in lane, she was able to pull into merge lane before car stopped and went into park.

Police came out to block the lane, really great PO.

Took about an hour for tow to show up, now at local garage after $100 for tow after AAA 3 mile buffer/hookup coverage.

I rode back with car and tow truck. Wife took my truck with son to get the shopping home.

On way back a dump truck had tilted onto it's side on main road up. They got home ok, Truck took quite a few hours to clean up the asphalt spill. Not sure how truck could've tipped like that.

Looks like car battery dead and weird neutral while driving maybe power dist unit, damn BMW crap. Cheapish part, but when it starts to go, so does engine management, says ignition fault, no start and dies while driving, she was up to 50 when it happened, we read about others on highways were it did this. Should be a recall....

Then I cooked 40 sliders for son's halloween party at his friends house. All while trying to catch up on day job.

To finish the evening on a better note, went the next town over to where my wife grew up.
They had pumpkins on the canal, hundreds of jack o lanterns from all over town. Along the now very dry Canal. Lots of people strolling, beautiful night for it.

Now of course my truck is acting up, looks like thermostat is opening at 240 instead of 190 degrees. Hopefully that's all that's wrong with it.

my morning sure changed, could not get to nephew's son's home, blocked off by fire police fighting field fires along the railroad tracks.
Just like I did 40 years ago
had to turn around and come home, boy was home alone and I wasn't having him walk down the road.
so, out to do the leaves and boy are there a lot

I got involved in a video game I have been playing off and on for the past 10 years, went to bed at 3:30 this morning. Got up at 9:30.

Drew, if you have an outside line that could use some insulation, you could use your topper for that. I put mine over the furnace oil line that goes from the tank to the wall, then covered that with blue foam board and wood after I made a box for it.

I don't see any advertising on this site of any kind
and that suits me just fine.

Buppies, the crew I used to haul to laid one over last summer, 3 days before they took delivery of their brand new Etnyer spreader. The dump truck had his box almost all the way up and hit a soft spot. Over he went and took the spreader with him. Usually when that happens the hitch breaks off on the spreader. Not this time. The front end man bailed and the operator rode it to a stop. Some bent up railings and that spreader went down to Timmins to get fixed and the spare went up. They lost 2 days of production and that was only two days before the end of the season. They were 8.5 hours away from home.

ken, depending on how much garbage they have to take off the truck the thermostat should be an easy fix. Oh for the good old days. Zero computers making decisions for us.

I think it is time to jump down the you tube rabbit hole again.

Again? They had a fire around the maintenance area fields of the train yesterday.
I think they need to stop the steam train for now :-(
