I know the K1500 6.5 exists. but a K2500 Blazer??

And the Ford 7-lug wheels were kind of a classic screw up - how did they expect that concept to catch on?

And even I remember the Lincoln pickups.
also on the list of small run oddities would be the 8-lug 2500 avalanche with the 8.1

2500 avalanche? I thought that thing was basically a unibody station wagon with a pickup bed?

That said, put an 8.1L gasser in it, and I'd be interested. :devilish:

a friend had one. they're not unibody. the made less that 10k with that configuration in the first half of the 2000's. was a fun thing, but frame rot eventually got to it and he moved it down the road.

Yeah, me too. The 8.1L was a friggin house of a motor.
500 cubes? What’s not to like?

I've driven 500 cid motors, but they were all on water. :D Heck, I water skied behind once, when I was young and dumb. 24' Baha with a 500 Caddy motor, it got up and went! Not the thing to have towing you, when your stupid buddy is at the wheel and wants to have some fun at your expense.

Remember the Shely Dakota convertible? Google doesn't show a convertible, Shelby Dakota, but I have seen one in Keystone Heights FLa. Might be modified?

I did actually look very briefly for a 2005 Silverado SS back in '19; but they are expensive now. Also, 4 wheel steer Denali anyone?
Or that weird SSR mini truck thing, maybe an S10 based vehicle, with 400 hp LS2 corvette motorView attachment 1436965

At one point, the 5.9L Dakota R/T was the fastest production truck on the market; 0-60 in 7.9 seconds.

Now, that's not even a quick truck.

And yes, I know there are guys that will say, if you want something sporty, don't buy a truck; but to each their own

So, I think it was Forgotten Weapons I was watching once, and he had something like a MAS-49, and he was smiling and said something along the lines, "is it still OK to shoot for fun" jokingly. Point being, maybe the Dakota RT or Silverado SS, or the Ram SRT10 might not be a practical work vehicle; but it's OK to have a fun vehicle, with some limited utility. I'd much prefer a Ram SRT10 to a corvette.
