Beautiful picture Ron and wngsprd
Agreed and thanks for posting.

I appreciate the kind words about the Big Boy Locomotive video. My friend and I were so lucky to see it.

A few hours ago, a cougar visited our ranch house in CA. Based on slightly smaller size, I think this is a cub I saw earlier this year. Even so, it's bigger than anything I would want to tangle with and I always supervise Rigby when outside just for this reason.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Popgadget, have you ever tried the Stay Brite 8 solder and flux? Supposedly lower temp that doesn't make the copper tubing carbon up internally.

I have used similar products, but for refrigerant lines I prefer to use a high silver brazing rod without flux, and purge the lines with nitrogen to prevent any oxidation.
For water lines I generally use regular lead free solder and Oatey tinning flux.

Good morning! Today is the third day in a row for rain, very unusual. Sunday 1/3", yesterday 1/2", today .15" and more expected. 74˚F and will stay in the 70s all day, wind shifting from the N this afternoon.

Rug and drapes ordered. Will have to make this an inside day because of the rain that we need. The lower leaves are gone on my new redbud tree - hungry deer.

Good Morning,
Ct, 66 to start going to 80 ! Cloudy with the possibility of some intermittent showers. We had a storm last night but i slept through it ! Some afternoon sun possible but who knows !

Ron nice picture of the mushroom, very interesting, never saw anything quite like that !

NHBX, nice job on your F150 ! I have the Super Cab F150 and it’s been a good truck so far !

Plowhog, nice shot of the cougar on the game cam !

Got the other set of grands after 1 pm today, so hopefully the sun will come out so we can get them in the pool ! That always tires them out ! šŸ˜‰

Hope all have a good day ! šŸ™

Good Morning
75° and grey, and humid. Supposed to become partly cloudy with a high of 75. Without rain.

Yesterday was a long day in the old folks home. Got all of the copper soldered up in the boiler room. Still have a bit of PEX work before I can pressure test.
I took a break from the radiant heat to work on the heat pump because my mechanical contractor buddy came by to help. We got the pad set for the outdoor unit and the unit set in place. Also got the line set run, (but not brazed yet) along with the shielded communication wire to the air handler.

The copper work would have been a lot easier if I made the boiler room a little larger. The compromise was that it’s actually in the existing garage, not the old folks home itself, and I still wanted a car to fit in that bay. So I suppose it was worth the fight now that it’s done.

Electricians got the feed to the sub panel run as well as just about all the branch circuits. So far I’m impressed with their work. Today I think that they will set the panel and land all the branch circuits.

Got to get going, I’ve got hay to move and plumbing to do….

Drew will be singing, ā€œI don’t want a pickle, I just want to ride on my motor sickle (cycle)ā€. - Arlo Guthrie
actually I was singing i want my 8 bucks back and they took one look at the cloudy bubbly pickle water and
promptly refunded my money. I impressed upon them the importance of checking what was on their shelf.

got crown installed, glad to be done with that. 9th one.
when I was very little dentist told me I had soft teeth, they would never be white and I'd be job
security for dentists all my life. He was right on.

I think I want to work on edging the flower beds while it's still not too hot out.
and then clean inside of rv and turn fridge on for Thursday.

new table allows just enough room for me to get by with rv slide in. With slide out, opens up floorplan a little by being shorter, though wider
when we put it together inside the rv, I used a heavy coat of Titebond III on the leg attachment area.
need to put something heavy on the feet so it doesn't rock over on hard turns and hit cabinets. Or ding itself.
trying to avoid the dings for awhile on that pretty wood.

the craftsmanship on the table is good, not great. darker area in right corner, almost like a stain, or burn
not like anyone will notice unless I point it out. Not sure if opposite corner has same issue. Top of table is flawless.

Good morning! Low of 54°, heading up to 84°. Very slight chance of a thunderstorm.
The guessers finally figured out they were calling for heavy rains and none were happening .... so they basically took all the "big chances" out of the forecast. Now they are saying Saturday will be the next "better chance"....

Phil, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I must have missed your post.....

Ron, you had me chuckle.... It's strange how the mind works (or not works) sometimes.....

LFN, neat mushroom. Never saw one like that. A "special" one maybe? Hint...hint...

Don, you're stealing all our rain! Just kidding... good that you're getting good moisture.

Scott, have fun with the grands... hope you can get to go in the pool.

Plowhog, yeah, I would be escorting Rigby too if I saw that cougar! I am assuming that they don't mess with things like bears do?

Fritz, glad the wife's test came back as 'no change'. That's good. Shrimp looks delicious!

Paul, progress! The addition is really moving along! Great job on the boiler room. Looks plenty big for this angle....

Drew, the table looks great! Fits very good! The wifey wants to remove the 3 recliners in the RV (entertainment area) and just do a real "table and chairs" setup. We did that in the old RV and it worked great. Sorry about crown #9.... mmm.... sounds like a good drink....

Today's agenda is to work on the enclosure for the bottom of the shelving unit. Already the plan has changed.... the doors were to have metal inserts, but we decided this morning to just go solid wood and save the metal for the upcoming entertainment center doors. Then it will match the end tables I made a couple years ago. I cut the frames already, but I'm glad I didn't actually make the doors!

I hope everyone has a great day!
