Wifey going to make me a Chocolate Raspberry Cake - Tastes Better From Scratch

My wifey loves this lady's scratch recipes, and so does our family. The scratch cakes are just that much better than a box cake.

This is the goal, but I told her to make a double batch and make it a double layer 13 x 9 cake. So we can share plenty.

Went to the lot in VA to mow today. Got there a little earlier than usual. Was overcast down there, mowed fast to beat the rain, as the sky was darkening. Even think I felt a couple drops once. But, never rained while I was there.
Half way thru had a bee sting me on my right hand. It still hurts.
Got everything mowed and hit the road north.
Traffic on the return was worse. Some kind of big accident up around woodstock, so I took Rt11 a good bit of the way.
Lot to read today on GM. don, hope ribs are ok.

Been good afternoon...lawn mow and then some while mowing Boo appear lay on his blanket watching soon afterwards eyes were close...guess he didn't care what I was doing so close.

Heading for the deck soon to enjoy smooth cigar wait for critter and stars.

There were 2 does eating while I was mowing, didn't seem too concerned until I got too close.

Sand mound septics popular in part of our county, where there is a lot of clay. fortunately mine is conventional.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.6C and it's presently 9.1C, overcast & calm. Yesterday's predicted afternoon rain didn't show up until 0200; it's still raining. There was 11.0mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Yesterday's tickets to the 'PostModern Jukebox' concert (20 Feb '25) accomplished... prior to the global "Blue Screen Of Death" I.T. outage. That happened around 1430 (locally), but it appears that I, and anything that I use, was unaffected.

So, today is an 'inside day'. My water tanks are full to overflowing however the rain will assist in the lime getting soaked in.

Good Morning.
67° with a high of 80 today. Sunny and breezy.

Got the mowing all finished up yesterday, continuing to make progress on the old folks home, but not as much as a swarm of electricians can get done in a day.

I’ll be back in the boiler room this morning, but I might have to make a quick trip to Palm Beach later today.

Good evening all. 70ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, sky stayed mostly clear and high temp was 89ºF. Not enough humidity for much of a heat index. Made coffee to start day, bike ride, lunch, took tarp off wood rack, put wood in wagon and wheel barrow on wood rack, got the kindling pile reduced down and 1/2 gallon on pre-mix ready. Few minutes of chainsaw work and pile will be done. Got nap, and drove to town for carry out.
David sorry about the delay.
Ron glad grocery shopping was good. Hope PT went well. Hope the goldfish can hide well in pond Nice pose.
Drew glad you are getting a cool off. Hope mowing deck OK. No idea on discount.

Bile thanks for the leach field explanation. St. Charles County was notorious for poor soil percolation. We didn't have problem as much from oversized capacity as anything we did to help it. Thanks for cake story
