Good morning, the low temp is 53 and the high to 72°F. Wind NNW 8 mph. 30% chance of showers.

The hardest part of these lawns to cut is the back. It is over a 'Class 4 Whitby filter system' septic field. You cannot cut along the face of the slopes but up and over. I'll leave that for another week.

I think today will be an energy conservation day.

Go ahead Ron, fatten those birds up! Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

Have a safe day all

good morning all
rain gauge says over an inch total since yesterday, that should help
grey and sticky looking outside

up early, today is going to be ten degrees cooler than yesterday, what a relief.
off to breakfast with older friend and his new wife (they are early 90's)
should be interesting. My friend's son is my oncologist and I don't think the kids are too thrilled with
who Dad married so quickly after his wife died. But his wife died of something terrible, frontal lobe dementia, and he took
care of a completely demented wife for over a year at the end. He's a doc, knew how to do it, but clearly he didn't want to be alone
in his final years. I can appreciate that.

when I married an RN, I thought that would be a good skill for old folks. Unfortunately my built in care giver became the patient, and that's just part of the deal, you don't know who will get sick first. Worse is when you are both ill.
Guys always want to fix things, and from experience, there sure are things you can't fix. But you sure try.

Bill, is that a fancy name for a sand mound?

71 going to 87. BEF, you beat us...we got only .02 inches from that storm...but at least it cooled things off for a short while.

Wife came home yesterday evening from babysitting for son and DIL since Sunday and Della was excited to see her...I thought I had worn her out on an afternoon hike in the heat, but she recharges quickly.

had to chuckle trying to give away a pair of New Hope auto show tickets for next month.
I offered them to Paul and Ken.
Paul considered it, remembered his 50th wedding anniversary was that day, and figured the last place he should
be is at a car show. I wonder what creative thing he will do...
So Ken and his wife will go to the car show.

my local older brother, just took him to his 76th birthday lunch yesterday, has been on community association most of his life.
the head guys there always get some free tickets, huge event, I think 30,000 people come into a town of less than 3000 all on the ball fields
of the high school I went to. I promise plenty of pictures. Big auto flea market also there, a fun place to meander.
I think my legs will have given out on me long before then, will need to find a place to sit for a few minutes.

my brother's son has four cars being exhibited under a small tent. I bet he has a chair for Uncle Drew.
my friends who are coming into town for this are avid hikers; the utter opposite of me.

our late Randy/Toppop loved cars, worked on them most of his life, and owned a modest show car with a friend.
When I see late 70's Cutlasses at a show, I think of him.
He loved showing that car and meeting up with others. Too bad he was in such poor health, always was struggling.
Hope we all figure out a way to avoid that some day.

Good morning all,
71° now highs in the upper 80’s and cloudy with some sun later today. Dew point 70° and supposed to drop down into the high 50’s by afternoon. Winds WNW 5-10 mph. We got some good boomers last night didn’t see any real damage just some more sticks to pick up and we did get 0.6” rain. No need to water this morning.

Headed out to drop off truck for brake job and see what rest of day brings. Probably to wet to mow until later, just to darn hot yesterday for any serious outside work.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Morning all!
Currently 69 going to a raining 83. We've had 4 days of gully washing afternoon rain storms! Lost power one night for over 5 hours. Humidity is supposed to drop here in the next couple days. Hope it last a while.
Here's what 16,000 dollars looks like in New England!! New fuel tank is not in the pic.
Work in the shop was halted while the boiler work was installed. Had to move everything into the shop to get it out of the way.

Did manage to make a few small boxes out of a birch branch I grabbed off of the wood pile. Sister is leaving back for home today. Always nice to see people but even nicer to have the house to ourselves again too!
Not much planned for the coming week. Hope to get everything put back in place downstairs and maybe work on the wagon wheel some more. Time for more coffee!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good morning! Woke up to rain which is diminishing quickly. Total rain .24"
72˚F heading to only the mid 90s.

A little sore this morning after taking out a 15' holly tree yesterday evening and digging out the stump. It was dead so I replaced it with a redbud tree. Friends from the farm are coming out today so I'll have to wait a bit to put away the stuff in the new garage cabinets.

Phil, good luck with your new system, looks like it was nicely done !

All I'm saying is, be thorough, Mate
Randy, thanks for that heads up, I’m waiting for some urine tests to come back today ! Hopefully no infection but I doubt it ! Do you remember what test they used to discover that cancer?

Hope all have a blessed day ! 🙏
