Ram vs Dodge/Chrysler - how complete is the separation?

I'd say there is segregation when it comes to Suburban's however. All Suburban's are built on their own dedicated assembly line in a GM plant of course (Warren Assembly) and nothing else 'Yukon' or GMC Denali are not run on that assembly line, just Burbs and Burbs are larger than the other's as well.

Like everyone 15 years ago who drove a Saturn, not a GM.

You can stick a Ram nameplate on it but it’s got same parts it had before and still rusts like a Dodge.

Ram…
…At least it’s not a Silverado. 😂

Ever owned one?
All kidding aside, I am not brand loyal, like “kubota freak” or “blue oval” brand loyal, and I can say with complete certainty this is the best diesel truck I have ever owned.

Still love owning/driving it 4+ years after buying. Never owned a diesel truck like that and I’ve owned a dozen Powerstrokes and a few Duramaxs.

When I buy my next truck, I will buy the truck that works best for me. It doesn’t matter which brand it is.

I was ready to buy a Ford F-600 Superduty, but no crew cab.

That’s just false. They don’t “rust” anymore than any other brand. Rust is primarily caused by owner neglect and driving in salt or wet locations without rinsing off.

Ram is a brand and is not a Dodge.

Cabin/occupant area looks pretty in-tact! 😁

Note Ram & Dodge ranked separately (#1 & #2) 😁

“ Ram Division President Fred Diaz stated, "Ram trucks are not a Dodge model. Ram will always be 'vinned' (Vehicle Identification Number) as a Ram. “

Just because the CEO is the same, doesn’t mean they can’t be separated, so I guess there’s that.…..

I don't get this fascination? over the Name difference, the Ram has been an emblem since what the 1920's?

Our 03 and 04 say DODGE on the tailgate and RAM on the doors. Both HD models , Cummins powered out of the Saltillo Mexico plant.
Both well built trucks holding up well. I have said this before and still believe it. RAM concentrates on the basic HD drivetrain being solid and reliable first. Switches and ancillaries, dash plastic not as much,
but the basic rig will pull a load, day in day out with the Cummins.

I was complaining about poor starting the other day, New batteries and all is good again.
14 years on a battery before replacement on a diesel truck is not bad.

I don’t either

I believe they share some parts between Dodge, RAM, Chrysler, and Jeep. For example several vehicles may have the 3.6L Pentastar engine. I think some FIAT heritage is also creeping in.
