Good Morning Bill,

Bill, one just closed not far from here last year ! Have gone a number of times !
Too bad, nothing lasts forever! 😒
Regarding Red Lobster, I heard one person say, when you're best known for your biscuits, and you're a seafood place, that's a problem.

Good Morning!!!! 58F @7:15AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 81F. Winds light and variable.
site glitched on me this morning, seems almost every day it gives me a "can't find that".
It's been doing that to me for weeks. To get the popup box to close, I have to click multiple times on it. Each click causes the screen to increase in brightness until finally it's full bright and then the box disappears. Some developer's idea of a cool feature that is in fact a real PITA.

Dump run went off without a hitch. $10 dollars to dump the full size bed on the Ford, nine trailer and truck tires, no charge. That pile was full of treasure for someone, but they don't allow picking, and the giant 'dozers bury it within the hour.

Got home in plenty of time to fix the electric fence and spray weeds, but didn't finish until 6:30. Late to dinner.

My view today will be out the windshield on the van.

Gotta go!

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Have to wonder if possibly the dollars derived from it are similar to the smell of fresh manure to someone using it as fertilizer.
The refineries and plants in Pasadena, Tx got them nicknamed Stinkadena. A LOT of local folks just said it smelled like money to them.

I had actually came from west to east on 1340 in the early morning and saw some of the most serene post card worthy views of the river as you go along and over it.
A lot of my 'raising' happened in that country and Junction area too. I have been fortunate to have "lived" Texas not just in it but a part of it.

Good Afternoon Wngsprd,
Regarding Red Lobster, I heard one person say, when you're best known for your biscuits, and you're a seafood place, that's a problem.
Yes, agreed the quality of the food went south quite a few years ago ! 😒

Good Morning! Shaping up to be a nice day! Getting a taste of summer temps 80F and could get into the 90's. Sun is out but going to be cloudy too.

Had a meeting last night 6:30-8p but went longer. Then realized I had not eaten all day. Stopped off at a place I like but had not been to in awhile. Great local people own it and it's suffering because it's 'so crowded that nobody goes there anymore'.

Lucky to run into a couple great friends so wound up joining them for supper. Had a chicken fried steak, jalapeno creamed corn and mashed potatoes with the jalapeno cream gravy on everything. The CFS used to be a thin ribeye that they breaded right there but now it's not that anymore. Still was good and the company was excellent.

Something turned over a plant my wife has on the back porch while I was gone. It's in a heavy pot so not sure what was going on there. Has been a fox coming up lately at night. I've seen him go past the window a couple times. I got a good picture of him one evening when I had the back lights on. It was from a distance. When I tried to zoom in to post it here it really distorted and looked like a squirrel more than a fox. Only I would know. So no pic of the fox yet.

Man did I love that bike...wished I would have kept it, but someone offered me about $1500 more than I paid for it new. First time I'd ever bought a new bike, drove it almost 2000miles, and then sold it for more. They were rare, and fetching a premium. Like C8's right now.
That looks a lot like the one my youngest son has taking up room in our carport. He should sell it. But it's hard to part with some things.

Two_bit glad good trip to head waters yesterday. Hope meeting went well.
Yes, thank you. Didn't get pictures but the Tacos were fantastic. I helped recruit extras for some commercials in 2022 and looks like we are going to do some more this year. The Pedernales river runs through some beautiful country. Some good pictures at this website. The Falls are down river quite a bit from Hunt but it's beautiful. Last time I was at red lobster I was still in High school.
Could always get much better seafood, pretty much anywhere for less money.
Not sure why they are still in business.
Yes absolutely it is seafood for the masses. I always enjoyed going there with the family when the kids were young. They loved it and had a great time. But the food was nothing special. All my memories of Red Lobster are good even though I usually tried to get them to go somewhere "better". I would not trade those memories for anything.

Hope everyone has a great day! Take some time to make some good memories with those close to you and enjoy this day the Lord has made. Prayers for our Nation!

Mowing season is upon us. Not much is more satisfying than cutting weeds down with your tractor (y) Got a small pasture full of mustard weed to cut this afternoon. This stuff has reached 5 ft in places this year... much like last year. All this rain is making me tractor money - lol
