For the lathe, I used a pair of Roll-A-Lifts, each rated for a half ton. They're basically dollies with the shelf hooked to a hand pumped hydraulic cylinder and swiveling casters for wheels. One goes on each end held in place with a ratchet strap. I was able to move the lathe up the trailer ramp using a come-a-long with rope instead of wire. It went fairly smoothly, but I kept having to straighten out the lathe once it got onto the ramp. With two extra sets of hands, it was no problem at all.What are your ideas of moving your lathe and mill?
