Does untreated fuel "ungel" when it warms up again?

;-)
Yes it will!

I went through this last year when the temps here hit -37C here and my diesel gelled. I managed to get the tractor into my shop after using a product called Diesel 911. With the wood stove going the diesel eventually all turned back to liquid. I believe the fuel has to get up to 10C before it will liquify again. I was using fuel from a bulk container that was treated (obviously not enough) and that fuel was good to -25C and I continued to use it after the temps warmed up again.

I had the fuel filter out of the tractor when the fuel gelled and took it into the warm shop. I was amazed at how the fuel had gelled to the filter but after leaving in the shop for a few hours, next to the wood stove, the fuel all turned to liquid again.

I had a previous tractor gel up the filter and it never did melt but I suspect it might have been the bio diesel that gelled up. I also never took the filter inside I threw it out on the ground. The fuel in my tank did work out OK.

Fuel will "unjell" but if it has precipitated out with paraffin particles it may need to get up above 50F. Many times a filter will not clear out enough even when warmed up.

Just got in from clearing 4 -10 inches (depending on snow drift) Been raining since early morning so it was like wet cement. Didn't even bother with snowblower. All bucket work. Soaked to underwear, so warming up by fire...
Now its snowing AND raining...good grief

The forecast for the 2" to 4" snowfall last night, turned out to be 9" of wet snow. Fun morning so far. Always enjoy operating equipment, even if I get a little wet from being snowed on.

You guys have no idea how giddy we are here with a near normal forecast with lake snow.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lake effect snow showers continue along the northerly wind belts this morning. Then, a clipper moves through the region tomorrow with scattered snow showers. Big changes are coming this weekend. A strong system is still on track to bring widespread snow to the U.P. with strong winds on Saturday. Behind it, a trough in the jetstream digs into the Great Lakes. It will bring a cold blast of air, and temperatures will dive below normal.

Happy for you, here we are expecting negative lows for a few days and schools will be closed just because of the temps. Schools have been closed for 2 days because of about .1" (yes that is ONE TENTH) of snow and cold this week. We should hit 50 tomorrow so we'll get one 1 day of school this week.
Any time lows get near 15 or lower schools close.

Yes and finally got my stepsons first lesson in, on his/my old newly reacquired griz 350 and plow, I'll proudly boast by the end of plowing he was doing it solo. Then finally got my older cobbled together vintage, yeah registration on them is vintage snow machines out for the first ride. Great day, schools were closed and another foot predicted Friday-sunday.

82 I believe it was rattle canned black and beat pretty bad, got it for nothing, and I premix fuel/oil in the tank, as much as I snowmobile and have in the past even though it's a 250, the unbelievable light weight makes it very fun off the trails and around the yard down state anyway.

ho ok I almost said 82 but since it was black it threw me off... it look in very good shape for a 82 and from that picture, yes they are best for that and for the kids... I have a 89 trapper edition long track and same I love it for the propriety, putting around, hauling firewood, pulling kids on the GT and pulling the snow drag you can't ask for better.

Don't trust a picture Lol I'm envious of folks that own a bravo LT 136 I believe. If this odd ball pitch and short shorty track fails I'll probably search for a newer axle with 2.52 drivers and throw one of my old spare 121s on it and a old spare skidoo rear suspension I'll call it franken bravo lol.

We were lucky I'd say - we're 60 miles up river from you and only got 1-1/2" before it started raining. It's all slush now. How much did you get down there from last Mondays storm ??
