Good Morning.
32° with a high of 35 forecast. Rain gauge says we got 1/4” of rain overnight, there is snow on the ground as well.

If you look carefully, you can see the driveway markers, the found their way out of the shop and into the ground. The tool I made last year sure made it easy.
Made decent progress on the speaker, and cleaned up some.

I hope to get the finish on the speaker today, I won’t get anything done tomorrow, I’ve got a drop off in Vero Beach and a pick up in Palm Beach. But it’s great to get two trips done in one day.

Not much else planned other than take the tractor for a ride up and down the lane.

had a nice trip to Lederach, kind of a waste of time, they had half the amount of snow there and
it merely looked cold and dreary instead of winter wonderland. No Kodak moment today.
I came back to light snow and 32 degrees with slush on the roads, had to pay attention to driving.
Fat tires on modern cars don't like those slush piles; you get out of the rut and start an icy hydroplane.
just can't justify real snow tires here. My Goodyears are snowflake rated and score well in light snow, but definitely are
not Michelin X-Ice or the Scandinavian one you can't pronounce the name of.

learned how to drive in snow in a 1966 VW bug with studded snow tires.
You had to do something pretty stupid to get that stuck.
It was my oldest brother's car at college and then he sold it to my father as his get to the train station car.
awful car in cold weather for anything but traction.
pulling those levers in the middle seemed to accomplish nothing
defroster was terrible also

those early studded snows sure put up a racket. Studded Firestone Town & Country's .
Noisy, but got Mom's station wagon home on windey steep country roads.

funny how the macadam crack repairs in my friend's parking lot are temperature sensitive and stand out.
good thing it doesn't spell something funny

37 this morning icy til after lunch no snow but 31 degrees for a long time. Never lost power a good thing now waiting on one to 6 in of rain Tuesday. Ron your cold snow is coming fast, prayers for all our country

Morning all, 34 going to 40 and snowing.

Yesterday got thrown into chaos, son came in and told me he had a gig today.
Well, local gig no problem, nope this one in North Philly.
Grabbed his amp and a bunch of bags and guitar and ran down there.
So rest of day shot, no sheetrock up.

And of course driving in snow on the way back, that wasn't supposed to be here.
Luckily in the Jeep, but others not too good at this driving in the snow thing.

Got home without mishap, but local PO told people to stay off the road after pulling a number out of ditches.
Rained on the snow and caused some good icing but was home as the rain started.
2" total, now icy slush.

Those planes are C-130s, I've spent over 100 uncomfortable, loud, hours in them on various trips back in the 80's

Hope to get some sheetrock up today and drill/cut more furring strips. Cutting the furring strips to size using the Makita 9.6v 3 1/2 inch circular is so easy inside the garage, as long as it's only 1 or 2 at a time. This saw is probably 30 years old and still works great, with replacement batteries.

Hopefully rest of snow will melt instead of form ice sheets.

Cold and wet this AM. Temps from 30-60 degrees forecasted all week. That's cold for us. A friend and I went to the gun store yesterday. I ended up plopping down the cash for a P365 and signing up for a safety course to get an CCW. Sign of the times. Time to make some eggs and ham.

A second post here this morning,
Still drinking coffee, will be regretting it later but it tastes good while sitting and watching it snow.
Got up and went over to look out the kitchen window to see a couple of turkey on the lawn;

And a close up. captured about 2/3's of them some in the woods and brush.

Good morning! Low of 18°, going up to 34° (maybe).... only up to 25° so far, heavy clouds. Snow supposed to start around noon. Snow predicted to continue overnight, up to 10" possible, 20" up higher above 8500'

The "future radar" shows a bit of rain first, then changing to snow.... I would think that will lower the snow amount. Hoping it will anyway.

More snow in the forecast for Thursday too.....

Pellet stove purring nicely, no rude awakening this morning. Need to bring up more pellets on the porch.

Going to be an inside day, didn't take down those decorations yesterday. Need to go out to the shop and retrieve the storage container.

Daughter didn't get here until after 19:00, didn't get home until 01:00. She'll get a short nap because she has to open the urgent care at 08:00 this morning.

Son wants to go to girlfriends house, so I told him to walk outside and see if the private road is slippery I bet he finds the road just fine for driving

I have lost 22 pounds so far on the sickness diet.
