The 1940 RAF DeHavilland mosquito. Made of balsa and (Wisconsin) birch plywood. The fastest light bomber at the time. That Phantom just needs a set of machine guns out the front grille.

At the height of Art Deco. Beautiful to me all over, unfortunately a prototype. $15,000 in 1938 though. In laws bought their home in 1932 for $3,200.
