Any pricing yet on the new E tractors?

/ Any pricing yet on the new E tractors? #11
I have contacted CNH corporate and dealers and none of them could tell me price, price of batteries, expected life of batteries (with only a 3 year warranty) or what I can expect for ROI.
So that pretty much says NO THANKS for me.

And I like how they love to brag about the lower cost of maintenance. The only thing different here is no engine oil, engine coolant or engine oil filter to replace and no fuel.
Okay.....so tell me, how much is that battery to replace and how much does it cost me to charge it every day, along with my higher purchase price.

Not to mention the fact I'm likely not going to get that 4 hours of claimed run time when I'm out snow blowing in minus 40.

Yep. Lots of fluffy propaganda with no facts. Which tells you, it's not something they are proud of 🤣

I can tell you one thing, they will never have the return on investment my 1955 Allis Chalmers offers. It's the one thing in my yard that will start unassisted sitting outside in minus 40 while all my new stuff needs block heaters and glow plugs, LOL

I remember 40 ? Years ago GE had an electric garden tractor size lawnmower. It must have been battery powered, idk and it didn't matter to me. It was just as stupid to me as a little kid as I think it is today. 😆
I worked at adealer that traded one. yep the bateries would not charge. Pickup the hood and full o0f batteries, pick up the seat full of batteries. If I remember they were the size of 6 volt batteries. The tractor had one motor and the deck had a motor for each blade. Search for Electrak or GE electric tractor theyn do hagve a following.

If you look at how large equipment is being designed for non-diesel use you'll see that it is more common to design for fuel cells not batteries. I don't know if this is happening yet for farm tractors. Of course h2 will have to be available and affordable for this to happen.

Ditto, my 1951 Allis Chalmers WD is the same, when all else won't start in cold weather, that tractor does, it might not have power steering and all the fancy stuff but if I needed to get to my job and it was so cold nothing else would start, on that tractor I would go...and of course, I just love the hand clutch, can feather that thing like nobody's business.

The Cub Cadet branded 'Electrak'. Lots of flooded storage batteries and limited run time just like the new offerings.

4 hours operating time, you gotta be kidding me. better have a portable gas fired genny on the 3 point to charge it up..

JD has their electric utility unit for a measly 200+ grand if you want one, I don't.

The whole electric tractor fiasco reminds me of the current advertising blitz for the Fords Lightning Pickup trucks. They tout the versatility but never mention the range to recharge, the towing range to recharge or the price top own one...

I live pretty close to Fords Miller Road assembly plant (Rouge) and go by there quite often and you better believe they have those pickup trucks and E-stangs stacked up like cordwood in the holding lots. No one wants them and very few if anyone wants an electric tractor either, least not anyone with any financial sense.

Electric tractors and vehicles may (or may not) come of age in the future, but not now.
