still in the forties out, waiting an hour til temps hit 50 and then will go out
meanwhile I have a microwaved heat wrap around my neck and that keeps me
nice and toasty.

pumpkin rolling looks like a lot of fun
haven't bought one this year
always feel like I should eat it or plant it when I'm done instead of chucking it back in the woods

did some investigating and going to try out the
Calyx internet system. Interesting arrangement, non profit using T mobile, has a 5G
hot spot where my Verizon Mifi is only 4G. Plus, the achilles heel of my Verizon is that after so much use, it throttles down
to almost nothing for the rest of the month and is useless for sending pics.
Calyx is unlimited, no throttling.

this involves just a hockey puck hot spot.
750 for one year, including hardware, that's all. 500 thereafter.
and no throttling.
will try it out on next trip to Florida.
If it works as advertised, will cancel Verizon and continue with Calyx.
since it's a non profit, half the fee is tax deductible.

I read over their financials, about $3M in memberships and reasonable admin/salary cost
Their focus is on VPN which I have zero interest in, but as part of their deal, they have packaged
mobile internet coverage that I've read about on youtube rv videos that seems to work better than Verizon.
Not as good as an antenna in clear sky, no surprise

Here is one honeycomb machine. Thanks YouTube.

This is the type packing I was describing:

this would be great for composting, a simple hand-crank with two geared shafts with stacks of rollers and blades and away we go!

A little vid of Pumpkin Rolling at Pumkinfest today.

I had a good roll, about 800 feet, but winner was well over 900 feet.

That looks like a lot of fun. I bet there was a good bit of searching for the perfectly round one. Looks a little bit dangerous to be standing on the side of the street down below.

Good Morning
It’s 47 with a high of 52 on tap for today. Partly cloudy and breezy, no rain.

Yesterday started with driving to Doylestown and taking my daughter out to breakfast. She just got home from work as the ER charge nurse at a large hospital in Wynnewood.
After that it was into the shop were I made decent progress, got all th e internal bracing in, they’re ready to round over all the edges and finish sand.

When I came back from lunch, I decided it was dry enough to mow, so I got the tractor out and backed up to the mower, only to find a flat tire. Fortunately, I was able to jack it up and inflate it, it seems to hold air just fine. Go figure. Got everything mowed, leaves are getting some color and departing the trees.

All this car talk made me dig up a picture of me in my first car, unfortunately the exhaust pipes aren’t in the picture.

Not sure what year that was, but guessing early 50’s.

Today will start with a bowl of Special K Red Berries, then a good run for Zoe before heading into the shop.

Looked like checkered plate with some sort of coating on it just never seen used on a bridge. The company I worked for for 29 years built bridges buidings and detention equipment. The national air and space museum is one we provided steel for and I helped installed jail in Upper Marlboro Md
