Rain is supposed come sometime today. We have had a couple of days of real nice weather.

Yesterday the tree guys came. They took down 2 big oaks. I hate to lose them but one was dead and the other dying. They have really nice equipment but that means they have to keep busy to make the payments. They had them down and pretty well cleaned up in 3 hours. Not as expensive as I feared.

I wanted to commend you all for not rising to the political bait that sometimes gets thrown out here from time to time. I was tempted too.

Good morning.
50 and overcast, rain on its way. High in the upper 60’s today.

Yesterday was productive in speaker building. Baltic Birch was the same price as it was a couple weeks ago $100 for a 5x5 1/2” sheet.
Took a break after everything was clamped up to go to HD for a case of glue. It was 7.50 a tube, up from $4 a few years ago. Wife came along to look at cabinets for the new project, was disappointed with the lack of selection. I suggested that we make them.
Stopped at hydraulic shop on the way home and got a couple of hoses for the progressive mower. Put them on when I got home, but one was seized to a 45 adapter going into the cylinder. I got it apart, but threads were destroyed.

Off to the hydraulic shop for a new adapter right after a bowl of special k. Then back to the speakers. Not much else planned.

went up to pick up vegetables at the grower. Spectacular drive up through the forest. Drove 12 miles without meeting a single car. just like we like it. remembered how we felt living in Long Beach area. People everywhere

Kyle it was a lot torque. Putting on a pipe extension did not do it. Got out the big tractor and positioned the bucket to push on the pipe wrench

We learned her name in the Maasi language means born in the rainy season. Interesting

Had 3 tall pine trees taken down leaning into the house. found someone that had no equipment but could scale them with ropes and cut it down from the top. Told them to drop logs and branches and I would do the clean up. Best price around by far

Morning all, 53 going to 70 and cloudy/light rain.
Got some splitting done yesterday and need to drag some of the broken up branches over to burn in the firepit.

BEF - take care of the knee before it takes care of you. I used some pills that helped years ago when I twisted my left knee, chondroitin and other stuff, seemed to help, YMMV.
Have fun on the train, looks like a pretty impressive line up of cars.
