Just 96˚ today the 100's have left hopefully. Just a day of pressure washing barn items in the estate sale and fixing scraped sheetrock in hallways where mom's wheelchair or walker hit constantly. Tomorrow would have been her 93rd birthday.

Good evening all. 72ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, breezy. Light wind with brisk gusts, mostly clear to partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 94ºF, HI 97ºF. Putter to start day, bike ride with somewhat less wind, then trip to town for groceries and lunch. Nap then trip to town for dinner and gas, 3.189 for E10 regular gas.
Drew hope you don't blow away. Hope the pics turn out.
Ron good to hear trimming done and car washed. Hope the Costco hearing test tells them enough to be able to help you. Hope shopping went well. nice pic.

Newbury it is harder for all of us to hear and track conversations in noisy environments, when people have trouble hearing anything it even worse.

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope that things are going well. I haven't been here in 2-3 weeks so I thought I'd check in. No news in the dissolving marriage yet, but there are plans for a 4 way meeting (both of us, with our lawyers) on Nov 8/23 so hopefully we can get things resolved simply.

Due to the local wildfires here in BC a month ago ... the closest one was 3 kms away (2 miles), and there were 6 wildfires in the immediate area. The smoke was intense, and the property was right on the edge of the Evacuation Orders and Evacuation Alerts. The information was chaotic. There are about 10 houses on my street, and 6 of those households had left by the time that I realized what was going on and packed up. I may have mentioned that earlier. I vacated the property for 8 days, and went to my daughter's place in Alberta, some 9-10 hrs away (where the country air was much improved). I returned with everything intact and present, Thank You Lord.

Our Friday Night Car Cruise-in group decided to hold a Disaster Relief fundraiser. At the time we were averaging 80-90 vehicles out on a Friday night. Our goal was to raise $10 per vehicle via business and individual donations. The result was ridiculously successful. 275 vehicles out that night, a total of about $180 per car and additional on site donations collected. We were able to donate $53,250 Cdn from that event. Local newspaper, and radio followed the story also. This was held on Sept 1 (my apologies if that was repeated information, but I looked like the last time that I was here was Aug 31).

I'm still waiting for my finances to sort out (buy-out, remortgage) and then I will plan to get a small SUV as a primary car. My budget is tight, but I may have found a suitable (first solution) 2009 Honda CR V for a reasonable price. When things are more financially stable for me I will be looking for a slightly used, newer SUV .... Buick Encore, Honda CR V, Toyota RAV4,Nissan Rogue, possible Hyundai Santa Fe. We;ll seen in time.

good to hear from you Scaredy. Stay positive.

interesting night. Had to pull the slide in rv was rocking around so much and I was worried about wind driven rain getting in. which really didn't happen. Strong winds died down about 8pm last night but still 14 mph winds with gusts to 26 right now, going back up to 50mph gusts later on today. I put the slide back out and am prepared for a windy rainy day.

storm is going right past me, inland, and headed for many of you. Lots of rain coming.

couldn't understand why a/c kept kicking on last night, had it set on 77.
Well....it's 78 out now, storm brought warmer air up with it.

as soon as it's light out will head back down to beach. Hopefully not to get sandblasted. Forecast for tomorrow looks great, should be a fun and likely windy day, to fly kites at the beach.

Coffee has started brewing. 49° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 72° with mostly sunshine. Grocery shopping went good. Hearing aids test got me a set of Philips over the ear hearing aids on order. Rest of the day was spent relaxing on back porch. Today going to set up tractor with landscape rake. Then rake neighbors side yard for a new lawn. Then going to enjoy some more time on back porch.

Drew, hope you made it thru night with no damage for storm.

You gentlemen are up early this morning been through one hurricane back in the early 80s fun ride only a Cat one, lots of power lines down in Myrtle Beach.

54 here rain breezy we are over 5 inches down for the year pond suffering.

Take care of knee LS, safe travels L4N maybe time to retire. Paver still down getting jobs ready to pave I’m working at home. Heard from eye ear throat doc could not make appointment schedulers have to do. Our medical field is in chaos. Need to set up will trusts etc.

78 degrees in Rodanthe NC with winds from the North at 34 mph.
and the storm is, except for another day of wind, pretty much out of here. Let's just say no awnings are going to get raised here today.

with wind from North, sand will blow down the beach, I hope, so if I stand at top of dunes on walkway, hopefully will not get sandblasted.
It took me forever to get that sand out of the hair on my legs, my face,
it goes everywhere.

keeping my eye on the prize, 77 and full sun tomorrow with winds 10-20. perfect kite flying weather and of course after a major storm, there is always something interesting on the beach. I brought my metal detector along, never had much luck with it but gives me something to do and keeps me moving. Tomorrow sadly I will finally have to give in and slobber spf 50 all over me.

Buppies, I know you are a beach person, would be nice for you to pull up a chair under my new beach umbrella and we could fly kites together on the beach.
Not a care in the world, just how well our kite flies.
Am sending that vibe to you. You can sit with me in spirit.
