Good morning, 60 going to 76 lovely morning

Walked Cody and made coffee. Cody watching intently because next step is filling his bowl with dog food and then a snack of cold cucumbers (his best)

Picked up groceries yesterday and checked on supplies to get ready for 200,000 mile service on the van. Looks like I have the 15 quarts of engine oil but two different brands. Don't like to mix brands but they are both Mercedes Benz spec oils. Transmission oil and filters are in inventory. Fresh brake fluids in accordance with the super DOT 4 spec on hand also

Good morning!!!! 66° at 8:15 AM.Cloudy skies this morning will become partly cloudy this afternoon. High near 70F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Got an email from AT&T yesterday alerting me to power shut off’s over the weekend. The usual deal with low humidity and Highwinds. Glad I won’t be there for it.

Got the ceiling in the living room mostly washed and decided it needed more work than I was capable of. Had a drywall guy in for a quote yesterday afternoon and have two more coming today. Ceiling and wall need smoothing and patching and texture. Not gonna like the size of that bill.

Got a couple more security cams mounted. Not very impressed with night IR capabilities, so trying to figure out how to put floodlights on motion sensors. Have a replacement camera on the way as one showed up dead in the last order. They are supposed to be guaranteed for life and I wonder who’s life?

It turns out the new house is in the flight path of the local airport. I knew that, but didn’t realize it was a popular hub for military aircraft to practice touch & goes and such. Very noisy during the day, but so far has stayed quiet at night when it matters, yeah, I know, it’s the sound of freedom ha ha. Anyway, a pair of these crossbreed airplanes were hanging around yesterday afternoon. They sound like big helicopters but fly like an airplane.

RNG, those are Osprey's...... watch out for them falling out of the sky......not a good history of them crashing. Yes, they are noisy. We are also in the flight path of the military coming out of Kirtland AFB.
Usually we can 'feel' them coming about 10-15 miles away..... Sounds and feels like a squadron of Chinooks!

Running into town this morning for more materials. Apparently I missed counting a couple of items in my take-off. No big deal, just mad at myself for not getting them on the "shopping list".

We are all set to start framing, unfortunately the forecast is predicting periods of heavy rain overnight tonight.....
When it's predicted to rain at night.... well that usually actually happens! At least we're ready to go.....

Went down to 46° last night. Tomorrow night is forecast to go down to 43°. Highs the rest of the week in the high 70's. I'm liking it......

I 'll check in occasionally, but follow along mostly..... gonna be busy for sure!

Good morning all, the temperature was right around freezing this morning in North Bay, ON. Got up at midnight and started the truck. Today was a non-eventful day, I am at home for a couple of days off. There is a 1/2 gallon of Kaluaha waiting for me to get done cutting the grass.
Got into an accident on Sept 2. The other guy was charged with careless driving (he admitted to the cop that he fell asleep, that is an automatic careless driving charge). Did about $50,000.oo damage to the trailers, no damage to the tanks (was loaded), wrote his suv off and only got a bump on his head. He refused treatment. I cannot post the pictures as they have the company logo in them. Physically I am fine, but a little gun shy now.
I'll get drunk tonight and that will be the end of that.

69°F and .25 inches rain

Yesterday’s piddling around didn’t quite happen.

My friend, Keith, received his new Lithium batteries for his solar system. Theses are wall mounted units, 308lbs each. It would be quite the challenge for him and his wife to get mounted. I volunteered, loaded up my hydraulic lift table and went over. Keith has a tractor and forks, but no way I could envision just lifting into position.

What I anticipated as a few hour job took rest of the day. Seems the only prep. He had done was a vague idea where to mount. Batteries were still on his pu.

But we got them mounted and I got home during the evening news. Keith is an electrical engineer with a career with a power coop. He will get them wired up today with the proprietary cables and whatever custom mods to his existing system

I did get a pic

If wx cooperates I should get started next round of mowing today but overcast as I type.

Coffee first

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Bill, good to hear from you. Glad you are ok from accident.

easy drive down to washington nc. stopped at old home on the way, took the drone up at my neighbor's house, they were both at work, but coming for dinner tonight, and got some pics of his farm fields and my old house.
Oh my.
they moved the raised gardens to inside the fruit orchard and put a swimming pool in that area. Then they seem to be building some contraption in the orchard. can anyone guess at its purpose, based on poor rez? looks like some of the apple trees are gone

Good afternoon
My dentist cleaning went well yesterday. Probably the best cleaning I’ve ever gotten. Course the usual nagging went along with it.
Got another ton of wood pellets this morning while truck cover is off. Little closer place, and saved $.50 on a ton, wahoo. Called different place, they were $20 more. Now I have almost 3 tons which should last 2 winters. Stocked up my porch box with 14 bags. Need to clean stove pipe yet.
Need to install outside air intake.
Might do Costco run yet today.
2 helicopters flying south again, boy they sure fly up there a lot.
