freighter literally went over me on Chesapeake Bridge
it was a race neck and neck as I got closer to the main channel tunnel, like a submarine dinging dive dive dive, down I went, and the freighter went over top of me. I never dawdle in those tunnels, always good to see light of day.

I saw over a dozen freighters anchored out up the Bay, lots going on

21 dollars later I entered the bridge with a nice reminder from the lady at the toll gate.
could not figure out why bar did not go up, showed paid. Rolled down my window and she said that's because she had to remind me to turn off my propane. Which I promptly did.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.9C* (*wind chill dropped it 'all over the shop') and it's presently 16.5C, clear & windy. There was 3.1mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Well, the weatherguessers got it right yesterday = high gusting gale-force winds after 1430. I'm glad that I took down my flag/flagpole as small debris was bouncing off of my windows! The aerodrome had a couple of 76km/h recorded gusts... I'm glad that I've got a lot of mature blackwood trees around the house/property to act as a wind break. Only a few notable branches down + a 'she-oak' (a type of pine tree) split 3/4ers of the way up.

Today is 'into town day' for mail/chemist/groceries. I may take a turn around the property later on to assess any damage that needs immediate attention. The wind is supposed to abate by this evening.

Good evening all. 68ºF for the start, overcast, and light breeze. Moderate wind with brisk gusts, Overcast with some light rain at times, and high temp was 85ºF, HI 89ºF. Putter in morning, bike ride, wind made it harder . Trip to town for lunch and groceries. Nap on return, then fixed light timer again, light is on now I think ants are studying the insulating properties of electrocuted ants, I wish they would stop.
Ron glad clean up on the garden pond was good. Hope mowing went well. Nice pic, again

Billy glad you had nice hike. How did he sound? Hope fluid an filter change went well and you found a non-flammable solvent, none come to mind. Hope dentist visit non event.

good morning all
up early, slept well, going to take a shower and watch the sun come up over the water.

today is my drone flying day. About 2+ hours to Washington NC, First I go to my old neighbors home and park in his driveway, all arranged. Then I take pics of his farm fields, which he asked for, and then, hopefuly, I can get drone up high enough to get over big red oaks and peek into my old home. Really want to see how the orchard is doing.

Too bad I just can't drive in there and say hello, take them some apples, etc but we left on bad terms with my telling the buyers exactly what I thought of them. And it was not complimentary, so don't think I'm getting an invite. Just my bad luck to have jerks buy my farm, but you can't control that. I was so generous with them and all they did was abuse me in the process. Oh well, can only control my own behavior.

then over to Goose Creek state park for my rv site, and neighbors coming over with 7 year old son (my buddy) with pizza and we are all going to eat outside the rv. They have a travel trailer so they clearly know the drill. And will bring their rv chairs.

Dentist appointment went well. Then over to hardware store and sub shop and home to work on zero turn.

Draining the hydraulic fluid from the 3 ports and canister filter went well, but getting the strainer loose was a job...finally dragged out the air compressor and impact wrench...the strainer is about 6 inches long, built onto a 26mm nut with an o-ring. Just couldn't get good leverage in such a tight area otherwise. Glad I cleaned it, though...lots of strange material on it...not metallic. It took an hour just for the fluid refill to slowly flow into the nooks and crannies...7.5 liters...I poured one liter at a time, then began cleaning up tools while each settled. Finished at sunset, just in time to help my wife unload groceries from a Costco run.

Low key day. Not much on tap. Took a walk through the front pasture last night looking for a horse fly mask. The grasses were crunching under foot. We are expecting rain on Saturday. We really need it.

I think the wife has decided on the final layout of the Milk House bathroom. It's the original layout. So now we just need to decide on a plumber and septic person. I am still choking on the cost of the septic run. It is so expensive.

Good Morning Guys,
Ct 49 to start going to 71 !

Going into my part time job, will be getting my truck ready for winter, wash wax and general cleanup !

The pool is really starting to collect leaves here, so I think we will be closing things up Thursday or Friday! Hopefully a couple more trips into the hot tub before that with Kathleen ! Been using the Polaris robot to clean the pool !Grass is still growing at a pretty good clip, so that needs to be mowed again by the weekend!

Mike, sorry to hear about the high costs associated with the milk house ! Once it’s done you will enjoy it !
