Good Morning Guys,

PopG, yes I agree, WAZE is a very good app for avoiding accidents and back ups on road work !!
I use Waze all the time, but, on a detour you better be checking with google maps, as Waze has sent me down some ridiculous backroads before. It won’t necessarily give the best route, just shortest or fastest back to the path it originally had you on.

Morning all!
Currently 67 and drizzling. Yesterday had 3 inches of rain fall in 2 hours. Heavy flooding thru out the area with numerous cars stranded. We only had a little water in thru the garage doors and some thru the bulkhead. Haven't heard of any injured yet. Hopefully everyone is ok. Pics on the news of cars completely covered in water!
Nothing planned today except maybe putter in the shop. More heavy rain for tomorrow so will go out and make sure things are secure.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Mostly, yes, Tiger is the one that used to jump up the wall to get to other side of basement. He’s a rescue cat. When we first got him my wife and son soon wanted to get rid of him because he was in to everything. He has really become a loving cat, but not a lap cat. He will jump on my lap and patiently wait if I’m eating ice cream, then I let him lick the bowl. Lately I’ve been trying to get him to sleep with me. He will lay on floor or on a chair in our room. Sometimes he will get on the bed after I go to sleep.
And he likes to talk to us.

Only thing better than a load of free wood is a delivered load of free wood.
I now have 9 logs I have to get up to the woodlot to throw on the mill, but they are a lot easier to handle now that they are all 8’6”-ish. I can only do 2-3 at a time in our pickup, but thy’ll get there! Then I have to drag the splitter back home to split the rounds, but that is easier than loading up all the logs, splitting them at the woodlot, then transporting them back…

I was pleased to be able to get an appt with ortho PA nearby for tomorrow morning.
Have them look at my hand.
Otherwise, I'll just go set it under the drill press
and start drilling into it.
 ;)

starting to pack stuff in rv, underwear and socks went today.
can't run out of those....I take plenty of extras
later on this week I turn the fridge on and start packing food in there.
And I start buying large quantities of apples to haul South to friends in Washington NC.
they know the apple man is returning next week.

65 and about a "foot" of dew. Going to 87.

Kil, nice free logpile. I've avoided burning pine...2 years enough to keep the creosote down?

Those brown recluse sound bad. I wear gloves when handling firewood, and most anything outside during the warm months...our problem is black widows and all of the members of the wasp/hornet family. Black widow sent the farmer across the road to the hospital.

Buppies, hopefully these cooler temps starting Wednesday night will kick up your energy.

We went to lunch yesterday, and I picked up some diesel so I could mow for over 2 hours when we got home. More today.
Two years does it, especially if you split it small. Also important to use it after getting a good bed of hardwood doing for max heat. Nwhich you can start with pine kindling 🤣😂
