Good morning! Low of 58°, sunny, no rain. High should be 88°. The temps are supposed to cool down into the 70's by Monday, good chances of rain on M, T, W. --- variable chances from 60-80% .... I hope so....
Whoever said that we would get rain as soon as I started work on the addition----- well, you need to go get a lottery ticket.....
Two very different forecast models for those 3 days. The US model shows rain totals for us around .75" total, the Euro model shows 1.5". We'll take any and all !
Don't get me started on the crime and gun issues here....
I am in agreement with our governor about having to do "something" about the issue, it has become rampant....
But--- and a big but.... criminals aren't going to stop doing what they are doing because of an 'emergency declaration'
All this will just hurt the general law abiding citizens.
They need to keep the criminals locked up.... not allowing them to go through the revolving doors like they do now.
A classic example of how the powers that be screwed up:
If they caught a shoplifter, the shoplifter got a fine / citation. A second time, the fine just went a bit higher.... no criminal prosecution whatsoever!
So, the end result was a substantial increase in shoplifting--- duh! Some reportedly as high as $18k worth of tools taken from HD in one instance. This is occurring city wide. In addition to all the other crime.
Now they are back-pedaling to try and stop the rampant theft! Now they are going to "add totals" from multiple thefts in order to charge them with a felony theft ---- only problem is if the perp IS convicted, they'll get out the next day anyway.....
I could go on and on.....
I hope everyone has a great day!
