Good to plan ahead, Paul. We had similar thoughts when we designed and built this house, that someday we may need to be taken care of. Hopefully, it will be our son, ready to retire and move in. Hopefully while I can still teach him how to care for the place. Options.

87F and sunny @ 14:15, which should be the high for the day. HI 95F, DP 69F, HU 58%, AQI 102. There's a broken line of thunderstorms maybe an hour or two west of here headed this way. We really need the rain ... 
High hit 92.3F here yesterday, was miserable out there.
Got Cub refueled first thing yesterday.
Then decided to go ahead and mow in the heat. Got back and west side all done, maybe 2/3rds done with east side before I threw in towel due to heat and dust, figured I'd wait until after it rains.
Got cleaned up after that and The Woman and I made the run down to Menards. Dropped off garbage up at the road on the way out.
Handled a billing issue once we got there then rounded up what we were going to purchase: Safflower seed and sunflower hearts, 2 more bags of Fall Turf Food. Woman also got some special soil to repot Her Elephant Ear plants and 4 mums that they had on sale. I grabbed another bag of charcoal briquets as we were getting low.
Swung by Kabab & Curry for Indian takeout on the way back, had been a while since we had it and it was very good. I went back for seconds ...
Was dark by the time we got back so that was it for the day.
Just moved the Cub and tow-behind spreader into the barn before the rain gets here so they don't get wet and then unloaded the two bags of fertilizer out of the trunk of Her car into the van.
She's heading out to take a neighbor friend who is having issues with her car out to do some shopping.
Likely be inside for me for the rest of the day.
Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ...

One thing I did on my BX after the first fuel filter change was put an inline fuel shut off by the tank outlet. Makes it so much easier to change those filters. Not a great design by kubota lol.

Ken, is the drill stalling? Need a bigger drill?
or are the teeth dull?
I used to have a nice corded half inch Makita drill that could yank me around if I wasn't careful.
geez, brings back memories of you slaving over my utility trailer trying to drill holes with the crappy drills

90mm is a fair sized hole, you should be using a pretty serious (heavy) SDS drill to turn the bit. Is your hammer drill rated for that size core bit?

I need to check the BX filter change dates. Last time I used it I had to add a good bit of fluid to the front axle, it's been seeping out on barn floor, maybe due to heat.
Today I found some old pictures from the 70's when I was in 4H summer camps, and scanned all I could find. Posted one on my picture site, to see if anyone there is interested.
Here's one right after I graduated from High School, was a counselor at a State Leadership Camp. Someone had to be in the middle of the picture....Dont remember their names...

96 out now, happy to be home
good visit with the little old ladies.
My MIL corrected me and said she was 96 not 94.
And her friend who I know from church showed up and she was 98.
Both totally with it, my MIL pretty shakey but both still mentally sharp.
Inspirational actually.
On my way I stopped at local orchard whose first apples were picked last week, galas, and I got some of them and some yellow peaches which were on the tail end.
Took one of each to the old folks and that was just perfect for them. They don't eat much...
it was so hot in her room, must have easily been 80 and had nothing to do with it being 95 out.
just old lady hot and after an hour I felt like a slow cooked roast.
glad to get out but geez that car in parking lot was hot, despite putting the windshield reflective screen on.
car is going in for routine service on Saturday, may get them to check a/c.
