Just open it up and replace it - if the inner insulation is too cracked, you will let the blue smoke out…
It's not that easy the plug into the recorder is two prong strange connection. The sewing machine is missing it's AC/DC cord that also has a smaller two prong connection.

I bet that cord was the old cloth covered twisted pair type cord. You can still buy that but it's not cheap. It's sold by the foot.

Good Morning
75 on its way to 90 today. Doesn’t seem like September.

Yesterday started with the speaker repair, it went pretty well, has a nice visit with its owner, interesting person. He looked out the shop door at Zoe outside, and asked if she was a Landseer. That was a first.

Spent the rest of the day puttering around, except for loading grain and moving hay and shavings.
Son came up to fly his RC plane. Hard to tell it’s a model in this picture.

Off with the wife to have breakfast with the professor now. Not Sure what I’ll get into afterwards.

I would try tracing it back to where it connects to the board/terminals inside, and sacrifice a 6’ extension Cord and just solder it in.

Morning all, 72 going to 94 and cloudy.
Got a surprise sun/rain shower last night.

Mini split is hung on the frame and started prepping holes for wiring etc.
After a few hours doing trimmer work, didn't get much more done on the m-s.

Back to the day job, we'll see what craziness they can come up with this week.

Be well,

No, it is brittle plastic not cloth, the plug prongs are round not flat on the recorder side. The electrical outlet plug side is not the problem the recorder side is.

So far I am super pleased with our Mr. Cool. It was their smallest unit and ended up in the Milk House. It is like walking into a beer refrigerator and is noticeably chilly. LOL.

I do have about 8-10 feet of refrigerant line though in excess, coiled up. I'd like to remove that excess one day.
