Morning all, 86 going up to 90, and sunny.
Went out early to trim by the road.

About 2/3 through, OnTrac shows up with a big van and the Mini Split, husband and wife team sub-contractors, nice people, drop off, tractor and forks over to where it is going and now to get the wall mount measured and have the kid help me lift into place.

6 days late, but it's here and looks undamaged.

I survived the King of Prussia Mall, I need the t-shirt

Well, back to work.

Only a few hundred feet to go:

Trip up to woodlot went well, Mrs. Is really getting the hang of the splitter.

And I a, getting comfortable with the excavator as a am closing in on 50 hours of seat time — I and clomping into spots confidently that, just a few weeks ago, would be terrifying! I had to traverse a steep mushy wet spot today and I made a mattress of cleared underbrush and graded some soil to make the ascent shallower, moving the soil onto the mattress and getting an extra 50 feet up the hillside before I noticed a minor problem…

so I headed back to the barn, and Mrs was pretty much done for the day, and we got back home before the real heat of the day kicked in.

Now I need to dig out a piece of 1/4-20 rod and four nuts to replace the missing hairpin. And I think i will spray paint the end of that pin fluorescent green or something . . .
Definitely something more visible than black!!!!!

SPA LEAK UPDATE:

as per suggestion of service tech, I removed about 10” of the side of the tub near where they most common leaks occur. The very bottom of the insulation is damp, which is not surprising, but all around that area is dry. Thin yesterday I filled the tub up to cover the op jets..l no leak yet.

we are going to use it later, and the I will top it up to normal high fill and see what happens. I figger I have about 8 more weeks before I have to worry about stuffing insulation back In To prevent freeze damage. I have tracing dye if it starts leaking again, so I can localize the leak as I remove more insulation, but right now it isn’t leaking… yay?

That hairpin for the X is expensive. I replaced mine with a bolt and two nuts. Working around trees and branches something will grab it and it is gone never to found again

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 8:45AM. Sunny. High 87F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Stack one pair on top of the other with the tweeters in the middle. (Top one upside down)
Should I do that, how would the speakers be wired? Serial or parallel?

Oops, actually have four pairs of the Advents, and another pair of similar size speakers. Don't remember the name of 'em, but another guy at work kept trying to get me to sell them to him. Never did, and never got around to hooking them up, either.

Got three more trailer tires changed yesterday, but still have to balance and mount the fourth one. I pulled the brake drums and there seems to be plenty of brake lining left, and no tell tale leaks from bad seals, so I just repacked them and put them back together. Still have one of those left to do, too. Mr. Back was talkin' to me pretty clearly that it was time to knock off, it was dinner time, and the sky to the east was really dark and I could see rain falling from the clouds. Radar confirmed a large cell headed my way, but it never made it. Nice rainbow, though.

Hope none of you are having to work on Labor Day...
