Sounds like enough to keep you on your toes, RNG. No boredom.
I’m happy with my eero mesh to get decent wifi anywhere in the house, garage, tractorshed, and immediate yard.

No rains here. We could use more.

Had a weird dream about flying drone and it went haywire, flying randomly around, then it crashed into a tree and exploded to where I couldn’t find any pieces.

Electric off again last night for another 5-10 minutes after I went to bed.

Not tutoring Drew are you?

Does your generator come on when you lose power or have to manage manually?

My backup generator is a honda 2000i that I use with extension cords. I wait an hour before getting it out. I might try a HF inverter generator.

Mike, thanks for the pics. Lookin good. I bet with the right tools you can take down that chimney in short order. Thinking maybe a power chisel and just attack 1 or 2 rows at a time busting the mortar joints. I’m guessing it doesn’t have a liner.

Maybe even a masonry blade in a skil saw, but that would be noisy and messy.

RNG, one of the things Comcast/Xfinity does not advertise or mention much. Is their HotSpot APP. When setup it will connect to any Xfinity WiFi. Including neighbors if they are using Xfinities modem/router. I use it when visiting neighbors and others. I always use a vpn when doing this. It’s why I have my own modem and router. Like David I have a Mesh WiFi system. It gives me full signal out past my back barn. I am using TP-Link DECO mesh.

Thanks, Ken, appreciate it. What system do you have.

I’m thinking one of those add ins, something that taps into existing plumbing line. I have a DC pump, powered by PV. Basically, if the sun is shining the pump is running, even if low volume.

picked up an artichoke for tonight's dinner.
Going to take scissors and cut off the leaf ends, at least the outside ones
and then boil it slowly covered in a 4 qt pan. Have no idea how many minutes, but that's one
big tough veggie

unless someone tells me I should wrap it in a wet towel and microwave it...
My mother loved artichokes and whenever they were on sale, she would buy them.
We went through a lot of butter.
Of course when your grandfather made his living in the butter and eggs business,
well of course butter was to be promoted.

and then what to dip the leaves in, other than butter. Have been a butter dunker all my life.
I bet salad dressing or light sour cream would be healthier
sorry Grandpop.

I wonder if Kilroy's earlier relatives in that area ever went to downtown Newark and saw the big
black sign with the white cow on it. It was torn down a long time ago. 30 years ago I drove to the
alleged location, could not find anything, went to local firehouse and asked who the oldest
fireman was. Of course I told them I was an active volunteer fireman, which I was.
So out comes this old bent over guy in a suspenders outfit that I had to yell at
and sure enough, he remembered the cow. Big white cow.
Gosh I wish I had a picture of it.
I did find the home my grandfather built and where my Father was raised. That was pretty neat.

some of these ads are just marvelous. You could say literally anything.

Mueller’s was a four-block walk from my house. It just got torn down, yet another residential Mega-tower going to go up.

my relatives usually went to Garfield, Wallington, and Passaic, while we went to Chinatown and Little Italy, since the PATH train was a block away from the house.
