Poured first cup of coffee. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with slight chance of rain in afternoon. No tree trimmer yesterday. Back on list today. Got metal roof pieces cut to length. Going to work on putting roof on today. If tree guy does not show up. Mine and neighbors tree trimming is a side job for me and my neighbor. So we are kind of on bottom of list.

Morning all!
Currently a beautiful 57 degrees outside with low humidity!
Work on the deck project is going nicely. Hopefully will get at least one railing hung today. Need to start working on the stairs also.
Was able to get most of the lawn cut yesterday before a stray shower wet everything. Will finish this afternoon and then start walking the trimmer around.
Spent an hour or so working on changing all of the hydraulic quick attache fittings for the loader on the tractor. Decided to go with the flat face type Kubota uses on there smaller machines. They sure are proud of their steel at 50 bucks a set! Hopefully this will stop the leaks on my floor when it's disconnected.
Health wise we are staying the same. Both of us taking our meds and feeling ok.
Going out with friends a few times this week so that will be a pleasant diversion from normal!
Enough rambling from me time to go make a second cup of coffee.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

Happy August!

60.2 F going to mid 80s, no rain in forecast.

Went to periodontist, need a small tissue graft due to gum recession. Yay. Was a decent drive up until we found the idjit suffering from “truckitis” for almost 11 miles. Yay…

Found an small woodstove on CL for $100, going to go there this morning. 24”w X 20”d X 24h (on legs), should be perfect for our woodlot getaway.

Later this afternoon we’ll take the dogs up and get them out for a while.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

good morning all
Happy August!
another nice day today, perfect summer weather

got the kitchen all cleaned out ready for new countertop.
Carpenter coming today to take off old one and put new one on. Hopefully.
Plumber comes tomorrow. No problem, will use paper plates.

once the new counter top is on, then will start researching getting new vinyl on floor.
Everything in this little rental cottage is worn out after 40 years of rental.
I give the landlords credit, when they finally fix it, they do it right. But they are typical landlords and wait til stuff breaks.

to reconnect the kitchen sink, only reason a plumber is coming out, I bet the Doylestown plumber charges her 500 dollars.
My family used the same plumber back into the 50's here and they are terribly expensive now. Used to be Mr Young or Mr Bowman would come out.
Now their grandkids are coming out in expensive trucks and big minimum charges.
if you know how to do plumbing and electrical work, the money you can save is remarkable.

Phil, nice to hear from you. Your weather sounds lovely.
Thomas, wonderful bear pic. That's quite a big friend you have

Drew interesting route, E to F and F to G look like long days

3 hr 37 min (183.7 mi)
3 hr 42 min (189.0 mi)

yes, this assumes perfect traffic.
that second day running up the West side of the Chesapeake, really no way to avoid Baltimore, that could be a very long day.

I need to confirm motorhomes with propane can go through the Baltimore tunnel, hopefully I don't have to take the Beltway, though I see 695 North goes over a
bridge

I know Baltimore better by boat than land...Inner Harbor was always a favorite boating destination.
Now I'm told the Inner Harbor is pretty run down.

59 outside this AM, heading to upper 80's. A really nice day for yard work. LOL.

Yesterday I managed to get that branch that had fallen out of the tree line. Quite snagged and tangled up amongst other branches and still somewhat attached to the tree. 25 feet up. Shocked. What a mess. I ended up on the back of the RTV with the pole saw and made some strategic cuts. Then threw a rope up there, then pulled it out. Two other branches from other trees came with it. Two RTV loads of branches and leaves to the burn pile and about 20 pieces of fire stove wood to the log splitter. It looked a lot smaller than it was.

That was the better part of the day.

Inner Harbor is OK. Just OK. Don't know about propane restrictions. I don't recall seeing any signage through the tunnels warning of such. But then I don't really look. The web site says no more than ten (10), ten (10) pound bottles are allowed. No issues with RV's. Just size wise.

Nothing on the agenda today. Got the roofer guy coming by for the estimate on the Milk House roof. I think the chimney is coming down. Just need to get the funds in order. Might as well do it right, cannot take it with me. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Enjoy the great weather for those in my mid-Atlantic region.
