a lovely day ahead, hot weather has left, 63 out now going up to 80.
unexpected downpour last night, reminded me I need to check battery in weather station

when I wake up, will figure out what to do today.
most likely will build my e bike, which came in late yesterday.
Helmet hasn't come in yet, so no riding on roads yet

53F clear sky mid 70's for high 5+mph wind very low humidth...now that's summer weather.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...trim both steep banks,trim and mow side field,check game cams,afternoon meet gentleman who like to sell 7' snowplow....gotta feeling bbq grill will be smoking later today.

Good morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

67.2F going to upper 80s, chance of afternoon showers. Yesterday’s chance of afternoon showers was a bust for us again, we rolled the dice and didn’t go up and run irrigation - we got too comfy sitting in the hammock chairs on the deck, and it was hot, and . . . However, we got a bonus run of rain for about three hours starting about 9PM so it worked out.

today’s itinerary is church, putter around house until late in the day and if the ground dries up enough,Mylar the dogs up to the woodlot, no work scheduled.

Thomas, if I took the trimmer for a 4 hour walk my wife would have to come out and retrieve me with the wheelbarrow.

It rained overnight now everything is wet. It feels like Fall. We are wearing sweaters this morning. There are 2 sailboats moored off shore this morning. The question of the day is paddle, row, sail or hike? Life is sweet.

Last summer they were clearing the brush along the power lines they even came back and disposed of all the branches. Now the whole island is wired for fiberoptic. This house has it and it is working very well. They had the cable strung through the trees but they are coming back today to bury it. If you work on Sunday do you get double time?

homegrown corn, tomatoes, lettuce for supper
Need to start eating corn as we have plenty. Hope coons don’t wipe it out again.

We gave up on corn because of the coons, and had squirrels digging up the seeds.

72 outside this AM. Heading to upper 80's. Had some nasty t-Storms push through the general area last night. They missed us, but did some widespread damage all around. Late evening I heard almost 200,000 without power just north of us and into the greater DC proper. Got to be rough in these heat events, to be without power.

Today, think I will lounge by the pool and go see a neighbor later. May take the wife's tractor for a spin on the trails and back yard. Grass is doing really well for the end of July.
