Good morning!!!!

Waiting for first cup of coffee to cool. 68° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 84° with mostly sunny skies. Yesterday storm got us .96" of rain. No damage to anything around my place. Over 150,000 homes with out power in the Detroit area. Local electric company DTE is to conservative with their power line clearing. Current plan is to clear anything within 10' of power lines. Leaving a 1' diameter limb above power lines. Just waiting for it to break off and cause a power outage. At least I have not had a power outage of any length this year.
Tree trimming guy moved his arrival time to tomorrow instead of today. I have a dentist appointment for cleaning at noon. Then back in out of the heat and humidity.
More field flowers.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

up too early, thinking about 8am doc appt/consult at back surgeon's office this morning.
going to be a hot day, in mid 90s with thunderstorms in afternoon.

Mostly, thanks for bike tire info.

Ron, figured you'd be up soon, sounds like a day to get things done early in the morning, same here.
unfortunately I have to go see lawyer this afternoon to get new will signed and I expect to be driving in a downpour.
I seem to have less ability to cope with the heat as I get older.

supposed to go to close friend's for dinner on Sunday, got called off, both got covid. Amazing that bug is still out there.
They went on Paxlovid promptly, but as many of you know, sure kills the next week, both for not feeling well and being able to
get out and do things. So far I have avoided it.

coffee and a tea biscuit going down slowly

another car carrier burned up, likely due to lithium batteries
insurance companies must be going nuts over this
worse, it's a hard fire to put out, and can reignite days later.
I believe the fancy term for fire is thermal runaway.

That is what I figure is going on with my work on the chicken coop. No problem, I can wait until it's cooler out.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

67.6F going to upper 80s, late-day T-storms forecasted.

Tree work went well, shed and contents intact. 😁👍

Always a pleasure to watch professionals and learn from them. We got six straight 10’+ logs for the sawmill, plus enough rounds for at least a cord of firewood, and about 12-15 cubic yards of wood chips. The big hemlock pine went down easily, too. The base was solid enough to have an effective hinge.

Photos will be posted later, as they are on my phone and i forgot to put it on the charger…

Today we plan to take our Senior dog to the woodlot and I will move logs with the excavator while Mrs entertaine our Harried pooch. She needs a break from Harry and a bit of Mommy Time up at her favorite place without him will probably do them both a lot of good.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

74 outside right now. Heading to upper 90's. Weather advisory here, (heat and humidity), some are claiming the index will be in the low 100's.

I don't really recall what I did yesterday, just mundane everyday chores and some running around.

I recall washing the wife's truck and realizing my clothes were soaked from the heat and not the hole in the hose. LOL. After that it was just more everyday tasks.....

Not sure what I will get into today. The weed whacker needs a walk, but that will require planning as the heat is expected to be up there. Maybe pre-stage some water bottles along the way. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

71 going to 98. We've had many days go to 100F+ over the years. Weatherman this morning said last time was in 2020, and we likely won't hit 100 with this system.

Thomas, nice gobbler. Did you put some bird feed in that planter/birdbath?

Changed the 2 fuel filters on the zero-turn. Now I know why the owner's manual does not include the nice instructions for doing this task and pictures. Instead, it says "Consult your local Kubota Dealer for this service." The first one was straight forward but the second one was a real bear. I needed 3 hands (one extra small)...finally I applied a clamp and a couple of magic spells on it.

Interesting that I did not have to bleed the fuel line afterwards like on my tractor. Runs and purrs like BEF's kitten now.

Good Morning
It’s already 77 and going to get past 90 today. That’s hot for us.
Chance of Thunderstorms and showers later in the day.

Yesterday was a busy one. The grass was quite wet when I went out, so punted, and met the guy that has my old CJ5 at the notary to change the title, which we were supposed to do last week.
PT mower on and got to work. Next up was the Lazer to trim along all the fence lines, then dismount the mower and hook up the Progressive. Did a few laps before going out for lunch. Finished up when I got back. Back on the Lazer to get all the tight spots that I missed with the tractor.

Then get the blower and clean the huge accumulation of clippings off the mower before parking it. Then on to the string trimmer. Got almost everything done before calling it a day. I was eating dinner when grandson called and asked if we could mow. Whoops…..
I told him to come up and we could get the Lazer and/or tractor out for a bit, which he did. Last distraction of the day was the call to go play bass with a local group that needed a sub, so I did.

Water leak in transit Connect was greatly improved, but not cured, but now I’m sure I’m on the right track. I’ll have another go at it today when I get back from the locksmith getting a spare key made for $225.
Perhaps Costco after that, I’m slowly getting caught up. Still have to make some time for Drew.
