Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

67.7F, going to upper 80s. It did not get as warm as they predicted yesterday, but with the morning rain it was steamy most of the day. Forecast has changed since last night, now rain shifted off until after 6PM so that will be good for outdoor activities. Hopefully the weather stays clear in Pickens SC for all the people at that big event.

Trip to TS was mixed. Senior dog got a good bath, but previous user only shut off the sprayer but not the faucet handles, so the hose leaked fun amsignificant time and there was about 30 gallons of water on the floor. I spend a lot of time with the floor squeegee cleaning it up as best as possible. They also were out of stock on several items I wanted to pick up, the only thing on the list I could get were dog biscuits.

The rest of the day was generally energy conservation on the deck, play with Harry, grilled tube steaks for dinner.

Trip to UpS store to pick up several packages was fun - parking lot was a madhouse, long weekend rush. FYI: the WWII Style US Entrenching Tool is IMP vastly superior to current issue, but they have gotten prohibitively expensive due to collectibility. Sportsmans Guide has Italian MilSurp E-tools that are almost indistinguishable for the Us E-tool (no cover case thought) and they are under $14 each, so I bought four. Handle little item to have, you may want to check them out at that price.

some minor running around, shopping, drop off a package at UPS for mom, then relax until show tonight at PAC.

Good Morning!!!! 79F @ 5:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. Near record high temperatures. High 108F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Topped out at 100F yesterday, today should be the hottest day in the 10-day, if you believe the forecast.

Deliveries kept me running up and down the hill yesterday with drop offs from the postman, UPS, and FedEx. New Dewalt shop vac is very quiet and seems very powerful. Got oil and filters for the van, so that's on the agenda for today. Big Ryobi sale on now has huge discounts, took advantage to order a little electric power washer for the vehicles. Not in stock at the local Home Depot, but can pick up in Lompoc when I'm down there next week.

Got the old porch cover panels trimmed so they'll fit in the van, still have the left over roof steel to do, then all the lumber. Hope to get that done after the oil change. Then probably conserve energy and stay inside the rest of the day.

Good Morning
It’s 70 and will top 80 today with an increasing chance of rain throughout the day. Still Smokey out there.

Yesterday was a busy day, started with cleaning up the split tree.

While I had the tractor out, I pushed back the brush pile before taking the loader off to mow. Hooked up the big Progressive mower and used a tube of grease on it, thank goodness for cordless grease guns. The tires are all holding air nicely.
Ran around all the edges, fences and obstacles with the Lazer with grandson on my lap before climbing into the tractor to do the open areas. He ended up asleep in the tractor.
After the mowing was all done son came up to fly a model, we discovered a great way to wear Zoe out.

Pork shoulders came out of the smoker around 4, got shredded and put in the Cambro for a 7:30 meal. The boys in the band were quite pleased.
What amazes me is that the smoker ran for 19 hours, and I didn’t have to reload the firebox.

Got wife all loaded up for todays farmers market, played music and packed it in around midnight.

Not sure what I’m up to today.
