Test drive a Honda Pioneer 700-4. Max speed is 43 mph but has a dump bed. 4wd and power steering. No belt drive.

How does the Honda 700 Pioneer work for farm and ranch use? Is the bed sized well? Specs are pretty thin on Honda's website. At $11K to $13K MSRP, they priced reasonably for the market.

My ranger has a bed capacity of 800 lbs. That is about the same as lift capacity on my 1025r loader and it handles that pretty easily. You can go over that a little bit but you would absolutely not want to move a 275 gal tote full of fluid. A lot of times when I'm moving material farther than would be convenient for the little tractor, I'll load 1 scoop into the ranger and go dump it. It does well with that. I put 2 scoops of SB2 gravel in the ranger bed once, it moved it but I would never do it again.

We have a large tree clean-up company working along local RR tracks and a bridge clearing branches & logs far off road where OTR vehicles cannot access. They are using Gator 6x4’s to bring up men, equipment & branches.

A Pug will carry 2000 lbs and is center articulating. I have driven and worked on them too. They are not a refined fancy UTV but they sure can do some work.

i'd guess them to be overly slow... But does anyone know what they cost?
