Good morning!!!!

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 6:30AM. Partly cloudy. High around 60F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.
Only one day of rain in the 10-day, so it looks like we'll be doing some drying out. Sunday'll probably be an inside day, though.

That looks like a sweet spot, Drew. Bet you slept well with the ocean waves lulling you to sleep.

Hope you can pick good weather for your travel days, Bill. Freezing rain ain't no fun.

Dropped off my glasses at Costco so they can replace the lenses, and was happy to find the price had dropped a lot since the last time. But I'm using an old pair with a weaker prescription, so things up close will be kinda fuzzy for the next week or so.

The zoom tour yesterday was a bust. The lot was nice and big, but the fence around it was all but falling down and badly needed replacement. There were water stains and black mold on the ceiling all over the house. All the soffets are rotten, so it's new roof time. Someone had cut a 2'x2' hole on an outside wall to repair the water heater and left it open, and now the house has rats, too. There was an electrical fire in the garage, which had been fixed up with a kitchen and bathroom and laminate flooring, but now it's a tear down. Might have tried to make it work, but there are tons of concrete patches all over that would have to be demolished before anything could be built, and I don't have the budget for it. Unless the seller would cut the price in half, and the realtor wouldn't even ask.

The deadline on yesterday's offer on the other house came and went without a word from the seller, so I guess I'll have to keep on looking. Saved me a ton of work on that old mess hall/house, though. At least I think that's the case, as the realtor also left me hanging without a word. I was gonna burn brush today, but I think it'll be too windy, so I'm gonna find a new realtor instead.

Brought home a U-bake pizza from the grocery store, so I fired up the pizza steel on the BBQ and it came out nice and crispy. I don't eat pizza often, but I'd eat another of those.

TGIF gang!

RNG - you need to make an exclusion list for the realtor.
I think #1 should be - no rats.

Sorry your search is going nowhere-but in this weird market not surprised it's taking a while.

I don't think I can pin this one on the realtor, as none of the problems were mentioned in the listing, and the listing only came on the market the day before. But now that you mention it, the realtor could have followed my buddy down there day before yesterday and at least peeked over the fence. But the realtor hasn't been all that helpful, and his "full price offer" philosophy is about 180° from what I'm used to. Since I'm still in limbo on the other property, I'm stuck riding it out with the current realtor, but I think it's a bit past time to make a change. And that opens up a whole new can of worms. Google "How do I find a realtor"?

If a realtor refused to make an offer tendered to him even if he knew the owner would refuse I'd fire him. I was under the impression that he had to present any bona fide offer.

Good morning! Low was 29°, heading towards 54°. Windy, with gusts to 65 mph. Was windy all night. Supposedly will be nice with just light breezes for the weekend, but 'stronger' winds return on Monday/ Tuesday. Joy.....

The hunt for shoes was a success, but not without difficulty.... The first store had a pair of comfortable 'walking' shoes in my size, but didn't have any work / hiking boots. So, they called the sister store halfway across the city.... yep they have them. So went there and had both pairs in stock.

Wind was ripping and kicking up the dirt by the time I got home. Wifey said it was worse when it first started. Kind of a strange wind event... coming in waves. It would become tolerable, then suddenly a big gust lasting 5-10 minutes, then back to tolerable.... repeat continuously for 12 hours.

Needless to say, didn't go out to the garage. The weekend will be my opportunity to get some stuff done.

Drew, The sounds of the ocean.... ahh, soothing for sure. Sorry about the beeping.... I would have torn apart the rig.. no way I could put up with the beeping.....

RNG, sorry about no response from the bid and realtor. Second property doesn't sound promising at all. Good luck with the search!

Thomas, are you sure you don't want to run another shop? Set your price (make it worthwhile), set your times, see if he will accept.... Try it for a year....
Or ---- stick to your current set up. Nice to be in that position.

Everyone have a great day!

65°F and .1 inches rain.

Off to Hilo town this morning. Some shopping, pick up some lumber etc at HD. Get them painted and resume from yesterday.

One of my friends got a JD 3270 with about 1200 hours for $17K. Pics look good. Included a number of implements.

Got some chicken to attempt turning into a version of chicken cacciatore for later for the H&F crew.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

82 degrees in West Columbia, SC.
what a day, coming through North Florida, everything was going smooth. Then SC. Grrrr. 95 just as bad going North, and then the infamous 95 parking lot got me. 2 1/2 hours of sitting there, inching forward. Made it almost an 8 hour day, too much for me.

this morning's sunset over the ocean was beautiful.

no beeping and only a few ants to be found, definite improvement.
neck hurts, need to lie down.
Making a meat loaf for dinner.
thought I might go wash the rv but supposed to rain tomorrow.
Bigger issue is call for high winds and 40mph gusts. Two hands on the steering wheel for that.

I brought a movie along with me, might watch that tonight.
