Good Morning!!!! 34F @ 4:00 AM. Showers this morning then thundershowers developing during the afternoon hours. High near 45F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
No rain overnight, but we did get 0.01" late yesterday afternoon. Not even enough to dampen down the dust on the driveway. A Winter Storm Warning starts this afternoon, going through tomorrow morning, and depending on which weather guesser you believe, we'll see some snow here, or we won't. Not too worried, but some are calling for as much as a foot of snow, and that could make getting up the driveway interesting should the need arise.
No luck finding a limit switch locally yesterday, heck, some shops wouldn't even answer the phone. Amazon sez they'll have one here on Saturday. Meanwhile, the furnace seems to be behaving itself.
Pump man showed up with his brother in tow right on time yesterday, and they had the pump swap done a little after noon. They replaced most of the piping between the 1250 gallon storage tank and the 75 gallon pressure tank with larger pipe, and installed a bypass line around the water softener to provide an unrestricted path to feed the fire sprinklers on the roof. The new pump uses a VFD and shows no sign of flickering lights when it starts. They also replaced a pressure gauge that sat next to the 75 gallon tank. The stem was made of some kind of pot metal that broke off in the fitting as they tried to remove it. It wasn't working, the inside of the stem was corroded so badly. Very happy they found it before it failed on its own and flooded the pump house. They had everything they needed on their trucks. I can't imagine how many trips I'd have had to make to the hardware store to get that job done.
Grocery run today, but not much else on the agenda. Just a take it as it comes kind of day.
Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
