Good morning, the low temp is 27 and the high to 32°F. Wind ESE 6 mph. Snow mixed with ice pellets. Risk of freezing rain. I have been tracking this system from Texas.

Tractor and parts are all at the repair guys' place. He will have to take the loader and loader sub frame off on the one side to do the lines. Hope he remembers to blue locktite the bolts for the sub frame when he puts it back together. $457.00 for two lines+7 'O' rings+3 banjo bolts+1 oil filter. I picked up the 20L (5.29 US gal) pail of hy tran on my way south $180.oo. Haulage both ways $500.oo. I am looking for a pickup AND a stock car trailer. As soon as the Dodge is paid off, the stock car trailer will come first.

I get to cool my jets and conserve energy until the tractor gets back here.

Good morning from Central Texas. A little over 1/2-inch rain yesterday. Standing water everywhere. Today about 70, tomorrow high about 50. The typical roll coaster winter weather but getting the soil moisture built up which we need. Starting to think about outdoor projects and trying not to jump the gun. Need to fertilize the hay field and plant some tifton tops in bare spots. Know it is too early, but on my mind. Sure, wish I could put out some potash but here you have to order 20 tons minimum. That's always an issue with a "smaller" scale guy like me.
For the last couple of years even fertilizer has been in short supply. You can always get Urea, but then the locals run out/short of phosphate or potash. If you wait too long, you cannot get a decent mixed blend.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 32° with rain this morning. Heading to 54° with continued rain and winds up 50 mph. Weather guesser say we should get .8" of rain. That should melt all the snow. Yesterday went well .It seems I am showing financial guy how to get the most out of his iPhone every visit. Latest charging with a pad instead of a cord. Paid my winter taxes. Dentist did cavity repair without a pain killer. That made rest of the day go much better than planned. Had a neighbor visit which is always great for Sassy. Will take Mule for a ride in the rain to check out windshield wiper in the rain. Plan to get started on Income Taxes.
A little sunshine makes photos come out much better.

Looking, have you determined why hydraulic lines failed. Can you protect them from failing again?

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

It is a very balmy 59F right now, and the rain should start in about two hours or so.

this morning’s zero-dark-hundred ear worm is “Back On The Chain Gang” by The Pretenders. It isnOK though, because next week we start work at 7AM so I am getting a jump on rearranging my wake-up time.

work is going better, the jobs are finally coming in enough that you don’t have five people jumping in on one job in the system, but by the end of next week the work should be starting to stack up in the system faster than it goes out, until the night crew cleans it up…

one thing I have been noticing is a lot of people who are in the stock market are not doing well compared to the previous year, and by substantial amounts. Contrary to what we hear from “approved” information s o u r c e s . . . (I had to type it that way because, for some stoopid reason, Autokowrecked keeps changing it to ‘souexes’, which I don’t even know if that is a real word ) Just an observation from out here in the Wilderness.

Good evening all. 43ºF for the start, Thunderstorms in area, light rain, .4 inch in rain gauge, light breeze. light to moderate wind with brisk gusts at times, rain early then fog/drizzle as rain backed off, high temp was 43ºF, low temp forecast to be 34ºF at midnight. Men's meeting to start day, putter until 11:30 then head to town for lunch with wife and Dr appt, while in waiting room got call truck seat heat fixed, $50 . Also got BP device and groceries. Got quick garage ride due to fog/drizzle not going away. Dinner at Mexican restaurant.

Phil good to hear wife's voice getting better. Hope roads ok.

Work and weather have cut into production. This weekend will be dropping more trees, even if I don’t get them dragged and stacked, because I want to get them while the sap is still down. Not much on the accomplishment list. Hung some more vinyl, cleaned up around the Milk House and went for a longer walk with the wife. Found some more firewood candidates. which is always good.

Same agenda for today, maybe fish another wire run for the Milk House.
