A few larger houses in our area were hit last year.
They did catch a few in our area who are resting in a cell waiting for trial.

I hope they catch the ones in your area BEF and they don't get out easy.

Good morning to all! Low of 21°, going up to 46° today, sunny but windy later at 20-25 mph. Should help to blow the additional 2" of snow we got last night. Really crisp looking blue sky.....


The moon just barely visible in the second one.

Still not better. Woke up this morning with a bad sore throat and stuffed sinuses, which has now given me a headache..... at least the body aches are gone. Now starts the 'no energy' phase....

Tea w/ brandy or scotch works well. Along with the homemade chicken soup. Another day of holding the couch in place is in order......

I will need to get more pellets into the house. I'll ask #1 GS to do the honors. He's physically bigger than I am at this point, easier for him to do it.....

Drew, we had 4 of those MB sprinters converted to ambulances at work. They were intended to be used for the long distance patient transports. Within the first year, they sold 2 off because they kept breaking down out in the middle of nowhere. They tried selling the next 2 shortly after, no takers at all. Now they use them only locally, for supply runs. They won't put a patient in them--Just too risky. $150K pieces of junk!

Only had a couple of minor things left on the "to do list" before this crud hit me.... now it's growing again! I keep spotting little things around the house... hopefully it won't get too long....

36F and cloudy @ 10:30, heading up to a high of around 48F with showers moving in later this evening. Calling for a high of 63F tomorrow but with rain accompanied by high winds.

Ten Day looking good though with lots of highs in the 40's and 50's ...

Went to bed fairly early, slept well, got up around 06:30.

Went back up to the shop before I hit the rack though to shut things down.

Safety Kleen drum as I started to clean it off:

Will be interesting to see how well it cleans up with a coat of fresh paint on it.

Got the holes for the mounting/hold down bolts for the Dust Deputy drilled out in the lid while I was up there:

Still need to deburr.

Next weeks's meds doled out.

As far as the agenda for the rest of the day goes:

Hopper and deer feeders need refilled.

Need to run down to the corner and pick up another 5 gallons of diesel for the torpedo heater.

Might sneak over to the barn and see what other plywood can be scavenged now that the garage is a little less cluttered and I have some place to put it.

Need to cut up the 2 x 4's for the saw horses. Think I'll cut two sets of legs - one for a lower table height of 23" and another taller set.

Still have to clean up the drill guide and get that sliding smooth.

Would like to get back up to the shop and get some time in on the drum for the dust collection system but sure that will happen.

Amazon says the lift for the router table and the MicroJig dovetail starter system is "out for delivery".

65°F and 1.4 inches rain back home while 72°F with possibly light rain here in Waikiki.

Preop went well yesterday. Surgery scheduled for late this afternoon, 3:30. Will just enjoy until then. Can’t eat anything after 7:30 this morning.

Good morning. Warmer today should be 55 later on. Mini split is in service and heating very nice. Not much else planned today.
The wall needed a long drill bit to get through but the borrowed impact drill made quick work out of it. The remote has a lot settings that I still have to figure out.

Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 8:45 in Lompoc, CA. Sunny. High 71F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

What a busy week! Made an offer on a house down here, which was accepted, and am now doing diligence on what they really have. It has a large side yard that may or may not have room for an accessory building of one sort or another. Whether it's large enough and can actually be built upon is the question I'm trying to answer before any of the traditional inspections are ordered. Heading over there in a few minutes to meet a builder for a closer look. Here's an overhead view. I don't envy the current owner his move; he's got a lot of car junk. You should see the garage!

Still feel like this is a long way from a done deal, and at this point wouldn't be at all surprised if it fell apart. It does show the area has the potential to provide what I'm looking for, though. And now I've got what's turning out to be a pretty good realtor working with me, one that's a go getter and seems to have good answers to my many questions.

Also got to drive a 2020 year Ford Transit last week and was pleasantly surprised. It had the lower rated V6 gas engine in it and still had plenty of poop, and the mid-high roof would be just fine if made into a camper. And even with the short wheelbase, there's tons of room inside. Unfortunately the dealer wanted $3K more than the original sticker, and I'm expecting the price to be depreciated by 1.1%/month, so we're a looooong way apart on the price. For another five grand I could have a new one. While I'm spending money, might as well just gut the ol' bank account, right?

I'm impossibly behind here, but I hope you are all getting through the winter in good shape.
