Mostly, These parrots have a different intestinal tract to other parrots. They are quite unique with feeding etc. There is a special food when weening and they eat mostly vegetables, example Sweet potato, beetroot, and all other veges and fruits. Guavas, watermelon, apples etc etc. No shortage of food here.

We wound up with several limbs in the yard broken from weight of ice. Fortunate for us, our son came and cut up the limbs and stacked them at the street, except for the few that I had him pull back for firewood. Wife made him some chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies while he was working. That was dessert for after the chicken enchiladas she made for lunch.

"Zoe and I were out for a walk late in the afternoon, and she found this herd distracting. We didn’t seem to bother them."

At least 4 I can see will be bring you bundle of joy.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 6C! (Where the 'heck' did Summer go?) ((I blame 'your' bloody groundhogs!!!)) It's presently 19.5C, slightly overcast and calm. There was 1.4mm in the gauge at 0900.

Just tootling along today... there're lots of little projects I could accomplish... but probably won't. :D It's the thought that counts, right?

Oh, and that leather pouch manufacturer that I received the FB advert from? After measuring the dimensions of my Wave+ multitool I decided to take them up on their 'offer' and ordered/bought a large pouch. It comes with a double snap closure and a dual (horizontal/vertical) belt loop. I'll let you know how it works out but it 'looks' like quality leather & workmanship for A$70.

That's about it, take care all.

Took about 3 hours, but I’m guess I probably have 95% what I need for my version of hydroponics plus a bunch of extra stuff.

Tried to do minimal dismantling. Most likely I’ll come up with my own design based on this.

Now, my back is killing me. Ibuprofen and energy conservation rest of day

My newly augmented solar electric fully charged by 1106 AM 🤙🤙

Those of you looking at Mr Cool mini splits there are some reports about leaks developing at the outdoor unit (condenser) because of faulty soldering or vibration causing cracks.
Don't know how prevalent it is.

It is going down to -24°F tonight and a high to -9F tomorrow. I will plow the 6" we got after I get the tractor back tomorrow. It is all fixed up for now. In the spring it will go back up there for a full service all oils, all filters (fuel too) and valve adjustment.
I think I am going to acquire a dipstick heater for the hydraulic oil, IF I can find one that is small enough to go through the dipstick hole and long enough to actually get into the oil without bottoming out. Amazon has a couple of them, but I need to measure the dipstick I have first.

Good evening all. 29ºF for the start, overcast, light breeze. Light wind, overcast, periods of freezing rain in morning, rain in afternoon, high temp was 33ºF. Clean ashes and revive fire to start. Puttered till time to ride in garage again, no nap, did go out for dinner roads wet not frozen. They will refreeze tonight, hopefully they will dry tomorrow. If they do I can ride outside :)

Mostly, no flack. One thing I have learned is often projects must be approached in stages. Laundry room is serviceable minus the utility sink. The new one will be functional before touching washer & dryer. If everything goes to plan, the washer and dryer will be swapped out and serviceable same day.
