Good Morning
34 and going to top 45 under a bright sun today.

Yesterday I got the new sandwich prep Bain Marie set up. It was an inch shorter than the old one, so the shelf unit that was on the old one didn’t fit. My solution was to cut and bend a piece of stainless to make it wider. I am quite impressed with how well the Makita cordless metal cutting circular saw works. Cut that 12ga stainless like butter. So it’s all set now.

My Verizon battle is officially over for now. UPS brought the new extenders yesterday, got them hooked up via coax as planned, every thing works well now. Smoking fast WI-FI everywhere including the shop.
Ground is still a marsh, making it impossible to do anything outside off the pavement. But the majority of the old projection TV is gone, the toters were empty as well as the additional Brute can full of cabinet that I put out Thursday.

Music went well last night, not the usual guys, but locals that have all played together before.

Happy birthday Bird!

Happy birthday Bird. Good to hear from you.

I got oil changed on Subaru. Had trouble getting drain plug out. Was in a hurry and used 12 pT instead of 6 and messed it up some.

This is one case where SnapOn shows it’s value, especially with smaller 12pt sockets (under 3/4-19mm). They will work on a hex that has already been rounded by a lesser socket. Above that size, they’re not really worth the cost. My tools range from SnapOn to HF depending on the application.

RS, up early? or not gone to bed yet?

Yeah.

LOL ...

Went to bed very early yesterday evening, then woke up just before 01:00.

I had been up more than 24 hours straight the day before.

Enjoy the new boots ... and the hike ... ;)

37 outside this AM. Heading to mid 50's.

Nothing I want to do today is on the agenda. It's a honey do list. I think I will stay back today and let the SO go find her lights for the Milk House. Maybe then I can do what needs to be done. LOL. I have furniture showing up and the place is not yet ready for that. I guess the SO is a little ahead of me.

I blame it (my lack of progress) on the weather. The real story is, me, myself and I just cannot do everything. No excuses, but darn.

Hope all have a good weekend. Be safe.

Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 5:45AM. Sunny. High 58F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
Rain on and off in the 10-day, but all light showers.

I get pretty bent, too, Ted, when the insurance company inserts itself between me and my medical provider. At my last physical, the MD spent more time whining about insurance companies than he did discussing my health.

I'm curious, Billy, what make and model boot did you have to warranty?

Spent way too much time setting up the warranty replacement network video recorder (NVR) yesterday. The backup I made from the old one should have transferred over all the settings, but the NVR used an older version of software that wouldn't update. Had to reset one camera, the one up at the top of the water tank and a fifteen foot climb on a ladder. And still have one cam that refuses to join the party, and the tech support request has been "escalated". Last time that happened they said send it back if it's still under warranty, and if not, they can't help. This morning I noticed there's a new version of NVR software available. Only a day too late.

While I was resetting that camera, I checked the water level in the new tank. Or tried to. An enterprising woodpecker had jammed the small inspection port with acorns and I couldn't get it to unscrew. Had to take the whole cover off instead. And found that the water level was well below where the float switch should have triggered the well pump. So back down to the pump, and it's getting power, so I've got a bad feeling it's new pump time. Something to add to the todo list for next week, and probably a major hit to the budget.

Before I went to work on cleaning up the wood pile, I checked the pressure on the tire that is eating valve stems. It was down five pounds from the day before, so there's a slow leak somewhere. Nothing obvious sticking out of the tire, but there are a lot of cuts from sharp rocks and sticks. Just need to pull the wheel off again and make up a big batch of soapy water to find the leak. In the mean time I'll just keep pumping it back up each time I use the tractor. Which I did, getting another ten feet or so of wood cleaned off the pile. Still more to go.

Got a letter from the county planning comission letting me know that my closest neighbor is now permitted to rent their premises out for short stays, like AirBnB. That probably explains why I've been finding unfamiliar cars and stray dogs in the security cam footage. Not very happy about the increased traffic or more strangers in the neighborhood, either. Even more upset that the county didn't even let anyone know they were going to start issuing those kind of permits. I would have been at that supervisors meeting to ream 'em a new one.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good morning all,
It is presently 44F with sunny skies after an overnight low of 32. Todays forecast is for a high of 53, sunny skies and light winds.

The pup misses Liz and was a bit clingy yesterday. Last night she was fidgeting all night, spent most of it on me so neither one of us slept well. We stayed in bed in a bit this morning and I'm just now heading for coffee.

Contractor got all the poles in place, braced and ready for concrete. Concrete truck scheduled for 0800 Monday, but it is scheduled to be raining Monday morning, clearing in the afternoon. I'm not sure what is actually going to happen Present schedule is for wall truss panels to arrive on Tuesday and to start installing them on Wednesday after cement has had a chance to set up a bit.

Finished fixing the wiring that was not to code.

Electrician gave me a price of $251 to install the 1.5" PVC stub out for the barn. That is for one length of PVC, glue up 2 fittings and 2 temporary caps to keep junk out of the pipe. Seems a bit steep to me. He also wanted $2600 to run the power 140' from my shop to my barn. I think I have a few more calls to make.

Security camera and new wireless router came in yesterday, will spend some time getting them working and mounted. Which should be interesting as the camera wants a wired network connection to set it up and I don't have a computer with an Ethernet wired connection, only wireless.

Have a good day all. Let's be careful out there.

Good morning! 50˚F cloudy, South wind, heading to the mid 60s.

Having fun trying to figure out the measurements on the EGO tiller attachment that will fit on my EGO edger head before I order. They range from 8, 8.5", 9.5 to 10" but I think they are all exactly the same blades just different directions of measurements.

When I get rid of the gasoline tiller the only gasoline needed will be for my small Yamaha generator. All of my yard and garden equipment will be battery powered.

The Spanish app sent my weekly report - 9.5 hours and exposed to 76 new words this week. (My wife had 11.5 hours)
