Had a big post written, the TBN app crashed, didn’t save what I wrote. Was in response to Don’s water shortage and the position of the plants that Drew referenced, so maybe good it got lost.

Good morning to all! Low of 28°, going up to 50°, sunny, breezy, no precip.
The forecast has changed (as I suspected it would) to be windy tomorrow, slight chance of rain showers on Wednesday. --- but, still subject to change.

Today's agenda will be to continue working on the previous agendas. Only 'new' item on the list is to flush the tankless water heater. Need to pick up some cleaner before that can be done, so put on the bottom of the list.

Buppies, get well soon! Hopefully you'll be past the worst....

David, post look good. You're making too much work for yourself!

Mostly, nice pic! Was a nap in order? Looks comfortable!

Kilroy, sounds like a good plan for the mounting and the raising of the mast. Don't forget to double and triple check everything before standing it up! ---- BTDT!

Pond heater works well! No sign of any ice this morning, waterfalls flowing nicely. Didn't research any pumps yet..... no rush.

Everyone have a great day and start to the week!

Yep.... shorten / cut the line.... well you may as well just get a different brand that has to be evacuated and filled. They are usually less in cost, but then the additional cost of filling, puts them a bit more expensive.

Unless you are using an especially long line set, it won’t have to be filled. The Condensers have a full charge of refrigerant stored in them that you release after the line set has been pressure tested and evacuated.

The other day was refilling the propane and the place is also a Stihl dealer. Took a look at the MS261 that I plan to buy soon. This model is one pound lighter than my old 261. One pound may not sound like much but it feels a lot better than the old one. This one was without the Mtronic system but it is the same price with or without. A little worried about the complications of the electronics of the Mtronic but the reviews are very good. With the Mtronic it compensates for mixture and starting conditions without the need to adjust anything and with the compression release should be easier to start. Also I can use the old 20 inch bar and chain so I will get an 18 inch on this one to have two to change with.

Lots of people sic with a flu report it is real bad. Stay home if you can the more places you go the greater your risk of infection... Be careful out there. Covid is not over by any measure.
Yeah, there is always something trying to take you down.

65°F and no rain, but quite windy.

Plan was to work on my post based today, but wx could impact that. If so, then an inside day.

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon.

Not much a mountain guy, but have always loved the woods so have been thoroughly enjoying the pics you guys post. Thanks

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

BEF, here ya' go..... Be advised this is a bread machine recipe (not sure if it matters).
This recipe has also been adjusted for HIGH ALTITUDE. (7000')
Also, this is using King Arthur high protein flour.
Sauce is approx. 13-16 ounces of individual choice.

A) These are the all purpose flour recipe ingredients:
1 cup whole milk
3 cups King Arthur all purp. flour
2 TBsp oil (veg or olive)(we use olive oil)
1 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast.
Makes 2-12" Sicilian (thick) crusts

B) These are the bread flour ingredients:
1 3/4 cups whole milk
4 1/2 cups King Arthur bread flour
2 TBsp oil (veg or olive)(we use olive oil)
2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast.
Makes 3-12" Sicilian crusts (or 2 even thicker crusts)

Combine ingredients in bread machine (following machine instructions) and set to 'raw dough' setting.

Remove dough from machine when completed, divide the dough into 2 balls. place in glass bowls, cover with plastic wrap and allow to raise 20-30 minutes.

Remove dough from bowl and roll or press into 12" round buttered / greased pan or deep pan (Can spread out further for larger / thinner crust) or thicker for "deep dish".

IMPORTANT STEP: pre-bake
Pre heat oven to 400°. Apply preferred sauce evenly on crust. Place crust on center rack and bake for 10 minutes or just until starting to lightly brown On the edges. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Apply toppings of choice and return to oven for 15-20 minutes. Check the bottom of crust by lifting edge at approx. 10 minutes and every couple minutes thereafter to determine level of doneness. (The darker the crust, the crispier).
Depending on toppings, the broil function may be used towards end of baking to brown the toppings to individual preference.

Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes before cutting.

ENJOY!

Then after church today, we drove to HEB south in Lagrange Texas, and got enough stuff and fixings to BBQ 24 hamburgers
Curious if that HEB in LaGrange is one with a BBQ restaurant in it? We were passing through Seguin a week ago and stopped at the HEB there. The brisket was surprisingly good.

I’m wondering how many HEB’s will have these.

We have used newspaper for fire starting for many years. Use 3 sheets and roll it as long as it can get ie corner to corner, twist and make a loop. It gives good heat for starting kindlings and ends go on fire easily

Mostly, you are right my experiences over my working life has spanned a wide area because it was a series of new jobs within the same company lasting from a year to several years. Every new project was different ranging from simple to very complicated and started with mechanical engineer going to project engineer and then project manager. The most fun project I had was when as a young project engineer I got the opportunity to bid a lump sum project for a small gas turbine based project. Doing this as a skunks works project was really great. Projects later on were magnitudes larger but this stands out as the most satisfying project and it made the booked gross margin which on lump sum projects can be risky.

34F and partly cloudy @ 13:00, heading up to around 39F for the high. Bright sunshine comes and goes.

Got very little done yesterday, other than finishing up another trip around the Sun.

Woman eventually got dressed and ran out to the grocery to do a small market as we were out of milk and half and half for the coffee.

She came home with another six pack of Old Leg Humper, handed it to me and said "Happy Birthday" ... (y)

I did manage to get the electric bill scheduled for payment though.

Also cut up some more cardboard to use as backers when stapling up the plastic vapor barrier in the pole barn, all part of getting that mess in the living room cleaned up.

I threw some fish fillets in the oven while She was out and heated those up for dinner.

Watched Disney's The Lion King last night, so can cross that off the bucket list (had never seen it) ... very cute.

Items on the agenda for today:

Gather up the three weeks of accumulated garbage in the garage and take that up to cans at the road along with the recycle bin which is full again.

Refill hopper feeder, probably tube feeders as well. Scatter cracked corn for the ground feeders.

Load up the junk in the garage that is destined for the shop and get that moved up there.

There's a pallet up there that really needs moved down to the barn to get it out of the way so probably swap the bucket out for the forks and move that down.

Then drop the forks up in the shop. Planning on doing a mod in the coming days to all the FEL attachments to add "wings" to make it easier to hook them up.

Then head over to relatives later for birthday dinner.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable, productive, and safe Monday ... (y)

Noon is sunny and 51F. Today's focus is delayed horse lot cleaning getting ready for weather that seems to be nationwide this week.

Costco run is done, another over $200 trip. Obviously didn’t get the dyson. They had V11 and V10 (sale) in stock.

Looked at TPLink Deco mesh system, 3 for $350. Little pricey.

Wife probably won’t let me buy eggs there again, I got the 5 dozen carton, best value.
I know what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow.

No Mobil 1 0W-20, even though it’s on sale now.

Want to try their gutter guards but they are not in stock now.

Got 2 bags softener salt, but a lot of water in the tank again.
Did pick up some Lobster Bisque on sale. I’ve never had it, hope I like it.
Got turbo tax on sale.
Picked up Lo mein on way home for lunch.

Tiger enjoying the heat, but I’m getting too warm and need to turn it off soon.

that is one hot kitty!

exhausting, as expected, trip to Chapman Ford in North Philly to look at a used 2017 F150 V8 King Ranch.
Nice truck, shiny black paint, never used as a truck, someone's company truck, maybe the boss.
It was nice til I saw the big scrape mark on the right side, needs molding and some paint work.
Drove very nicely, reminded me closely of my air bag ride Ram, but clearly, the 5.0 has nowhere near the torque of the hemi
off the line. It felt smooth, strong enough, and quiet. Very muffled truck, lots of insulation I guess.

I'd rather have the larger ecoboost but this was a good possibility. I countered after they refused to take a dollar off the price (except they would take off
1000 if I traded a car) and said throw in a two year full warranty for their asking price. And then I left.
81k miles, lot of road miles for a contractor I bet. they offered me four grand under what was reasonable for my car.
No.

so no movement on ask price, lowball for trade and a scrape I have to fix.
my checkbook stayed in the car

I think I have to wait until the car market gets hungrier.

I let the gps take me through North Philly to get there, haven't been down that way in a while. Lot of traffic.
came home route 1 and street road.
too many people

A couple things off the list:
Hand watered the driveway zone. Everything looking good.

Then wifey reminded me the plants in the greenhouse probably needed water. She took care of in there while I hand watered the 16 transplanted container trees. They all have their spring buds. They will get planted along the driveway in the spring.

Next up is to get the Christmas deco totes put up in the storage loft.

Added another 2 items to the list.... we need to empty 4 containers of Asiatic Lilly bulbs in preparation to plant them in the courtyard CMU block borders.
The next item is to trim the willow and pine trees in the courtyard.
Not going to be today, maybe this week if the weather holds.

Grabbing a quick bite now.....

Good call, Drew. Lots of used cars got bought by dealers for premium prices, and now that interest rates have shot up, a lot of people can't afford the loan payments on the high prices being asked. All that inventory comes with flooring costs the dealers have to pay every month, so sooner or later they're going to have to drop the prices to get their cash flow back to a positive state. That won't happen overnight, but maybe by summer things will be getting back to something that looks more like normal.
