Could be that he escaped Russia? Or that he had been here prior to the conflict with Ukraine. Hard to say. Probably best to not say you are from Russia these days I would think
I was also thinking of all the possibilities, but he was there to have a good time with his family and I did not want to continue the conversation to make it uncomfortable for them. I figured he would have told me more if he felt the need to.

Kind of reminded me of elevator conversations with neighbors when we lived in the high-rise. They're limited to 20 seconds.

The 'edge tamers' do just that..... they will provide about a 3/4" lift to the cutting edge of the bucket. This will allow the loader / bucket to "float" (actually ride on the tamers) and skim across the gravel drive, thus preventing the bucket edge from digging into any high spots. Also prevents the edge from digging in after the bucket gets heavy with snow.
Can't cha just rock the bucket back 'till the front edge is an inch off the ground? Might take a little fiddling to get it right, then mark the curl gauge so you can get back there easily.

That's what I tried to do in the previous years. Unfortunately, especially with wet snow, the bucket will then start to "pack" the snow under the slightly angled bucket. With the loader in float, the snow will pack enough that it is just floating over the top.
Tried to keep the loader in 'normal' operation, making sure the bucket is level or just slightly raised in front..... then any dip or hill will cause all sorts of unwanted result. Then as the weight of snow in the bucket increases, then the results are even worse!

My bucket level indicator is spot on, still have issues clearing snow......
The edge tamers are kinda like having gauge wheels/ skids on a snow blower or rear blade. They maintain the same spacing irregardless of the terrain.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low was 13.5C and it's presently 22.5C, overcast and calm. There was 8.5mm of rain in the gauge with more predicted for today.

I need to get stuck into cleaning up the house in preparation for my Christmas/NY guests... my Aunt (from Burlington, Ontario) arrives on Thursday.

That's about it, take care all.

That reminds me. Yesterday as a young family was getting off the trailer I noticed an accent I thought was German and ask him what county he was from. He said Russia. I really could not think of what to say . . . the only thing I could think of was the guy from Ukraine that picked up mom's car for Carmax (same accent) and was worried about his family still back in one of the bombed cities.

Russia now is teared in pieces.
+/- 50 % of russians are "war eagles", which are yelling - lets nuke Ukraine, lets show them might of our weapons. But once asked how it happens that in trenches is so good internet so they can post this ******** from there, it turns out they are from warm apartments, and they cant be at war as they are crippled / old / busy doing things. :ROFLMAO:
And very big portion of them are totally fine with whats going on there but just flew away so they can't be conscripted. I mean that is biggest possible hypocrisy
Of course, lot of people are true pacifists and they just dont want to be a part of it but dont have guts to go on streets with protests

Here in Latvija week ago was closed one russian TV channel. At beginning they were like we are democrats, dont like putin, we are war victims, forced to run away etc
Then they started to say, and I quote here "let's help our army".

buckeyefarmer said, "I think my engineering calculator is TI 58c. I still have it somewhere."

Not familiar with TI 58c but I got my TI-1766 on June 17, 1984 "solar and light powered electronic calculator". It was a quite advanced calculator when I got it and it still works just as well today as it did then. I keep it here on the desk and use it occasionally.

Poured a good cup of hot coffee. 31° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 37° with some sun in morning. More clouds in afternoon. Got Facetime with GGD. Fun with a 3 year old,
Put snowplow on tractor yesterday. Took a drive over to neighbors place to show him what a real snowplow looks like. He has a BX. He was washing his cars. So he did my tractor. Checked tire air pressure and topped off fuel tank. He gave me lifetime coupon for tactor washes and fuel fills for a birthday gift couple years ago. It started as a joke but I cannot go over with tractor without him filling my tractor with diesel.
Mice have not left my place. Trapped 3 more yesterday. Need to find the hole where they are getting in house. Good thing I have a good supply of peanut butter.
Not sure what I will get into today.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, low temp 16 and going to a high of 21°F. Wind NE 7 mph. 30% chance of flurries. The snow yesterday and overnight only brought an inch. Not enough to plow.

Don't know what I will get up to today, but rest assured it won't be much. Maybe I will call today an energy conservation day.

ron, nice Bluejay. I get my peanut butter in 5 lb jars from Amazon, 2 at a time. Both of us love our peanut butter.

Stay safe and healthy all
