I was wondering what they did for the drywall edges along the beams. Can you give a picture?

I think something like this

Saw an “outdoors with Morgan’s” episode where he said he charges $300 cord plus delivery for firewood. Ouch. That’s north of Pittsburgh.
That about correct and a low price if these figures are correct.

“A full cord of wood can weigh as much as 5000 pounds. It can be made of hardwood or softwood. The weight depends on the type of wood. A full cord of hickory can equal 177 gallons of fuel oil. It can also be made of balsam fir, which is equal to 96 gallons.”

I meant to post that elsewhere. Seems high, but I haven’t bought wood in years since it hit $100 a cord. I remember when we sold it for $25 a half cord back in the 70s. Lol.

I will take a picture tomorrow of the close up of the wall with the zip strips after they did their work on it. Both before and after the painting. here are a couple pictures before.

as for firewood, it is $350 a cord here. Supposedly seasoned, but I doubt it. One of the things I like about having some land is that once I get moved in, I have enough standing dead trees and downed trees to prep 3 years of wood next year. easily. and after that I think the deadfall will probably keep me in firewood till I am too old to run a saw myself. I am planning to buy a battery saw this year as well. I won't be giving up my gas powered saws but there are lots of times that I can see it just being really convenient to grab a battery powered saw and cut a bitl without ending up with gas and exhaust all over me. They still use chain oil so you can't wear good clothes.
Tonight I drove into the Valley to hit Home depot and pick up some supplies. I needed some trim for the half bath. I have the vanity and want to get it installed but I need to do the trim next to it, now or I'll have to pull the cabinet and that just seems like a real pain. So I got a couple 8 foot pieces of trim, lsome cabinet / trim paint and the other bits and pieces I need and that will by my task tomorrow night, while Jefanna finishes Primering Lauren's room.

Update on Lauren. She has been thru half a dozen doctors. Some good some not so much. her NP, Gastrointerologist, and Onocologist/Hematologist have been working together pushing her thru all kinds of tests. They identified several issues and we are waiting for blood tests to come back next week, but they also said she will need surgery and they are referring her for a specialist out of state. There are a few different locations, and we will proceed based on who can take her case the soonest and also participates with our insurance. We were extremely happy to find that the Dr she wants takes our insurance....but he is top of the heap and famous in medical circles, so getting him to take her case may be an issue.
Essentially her stomach is dead. grade 3 gastroperisis. there are a few possible procedures and she will have to be evaluated further to see what she qualifies for. It may be the abdominal feeding tube but because of the EDS,l most hospitals don't want to do anything with her. This is just a bit of added pressure to get the house done, so that we can move in there where we have more space.

Sounds like quite a medical journey for Lauren. I hope it comes to a good end.
