27F frosty clear sky upper 50's for high...bird bath made ice over night.
Outside chores done E muffin time.
First day of muzzleloader season only heard to KABOOMS so far.
Plans for today...trip to town for 3 stops,remove anything from shed work area that doesn't like cold weather,put the burn barrel to use,check game cams,watch little football...putter kinda day so far.

28° right now and the grass is covered in frost. High in the low 60's...
Dump run this morning and get a couple gallons of gas so I can finish mowing. If the barber shop is open (if you recall, they had been closed due to one of them contracting Covid), it's time for a haircut.
Also, while I'm out, I'll pick up grease
When it warms up, it'll be tractor maintenance and mowing. Also, rig the winter implements (blade, blower)...but that's not a priority so, if it gets done this weekend...well, that's great. If it doesn't, that's OK too. The 10-day forecast is calling for highs in the low to mid-60's all week

Good frost this morning. Fire going in the stove, no oil for heat because of these stupid prices. Finishing coffee, then out to the shop to pull in the truck. Today is brake day! I wonder if I have any kerosene left in the heater. Only gas station with kerosene closed shop, so I don't know where to get it now.

just surprised he didn't have a lot more solar panels installed.
He needs to let Sodamo and RNG consult with him.
But his new wife is telling him it's time to go.
They already bought their next home.
And they can leave during the worst weather.
I'd want a caretaker there all the time. I wonder if he keeps his floating home
or tries to sell it. Wonder what happens when the styrofoam base finally breaks down?
I suppose you could haul it out piece by piece.
Or send divers down to fix it in place.
Must be quite a natural harbor there, in lee of wind from all directions.
At least with global warming, it will just float higher.
