42F and clear @ 22:00, heading down to around 36F in the overnight for the low.

Woman said She saw frost on the roof of the pump house this morning. It still hasn't gotten cold enough to kill off all Her dahlias.

Mounted another double 8' fixture on the wall and stuck a pair of LED bulbs in it and got it wired up.

Got exterior door frame for the south man door removed. Need to order a jamb set (or some repair pieces to repair it), also new exterior trim. May go with PVC this time around. Also some paint to match the barn trim.

Measured out a 20' piece of 14-2 romex and stapled it up on the second truss on the north side at 14' out from the east wall. That should be enough to connect it to the other light which will be on the same truss but centered 14' out from the west wall.

Woman got the opposite sides of the three 2 x 8 x 14's coated with BLO.

More cleaning.

Had visitor wanting to know what all the activity was about:

IMG_2063 copy.jpg

Seemed like she wanted to come on inside but couldn't quite muster the courage.

Hooked up the torpedo heater and fired it off to make sure it's operational ... (y)

Managed to get southern most overhead door unstuck and pulled down.

Verified junction box size is correct for both light fixtures, used some Lexel and installed the plugs on one of them.

New live trap baited and set.

Knocked off around 18:45, was starting to cool off and I was hungry and She was done.

Finished up my shrimp teriyaki bowl and the other half of my California roll (with lots and lots of Wasabi ... :giggle: )

About time to see what's for desert.

Woman ran second load through the washer: "It seems to be doing ok now ..." ...

Hope everyone had a Good Friday ... (y)

Yeah, the constant rain is getting annoying but I'd rather that than drought.

At the very least, my tanks are full. There's still a 'moat' out front of my tractor shed and everything is green.

However, the constant rain has caused St Marys Pass to be closed, now, for the next month due to rock & landslides! The longer Elephant Pass (hey, I didn't name them :) ) is reduced speed and dodgy as all get out with trees coming down across it. That pretty much leaves the Northern 'Scottsdale Pass' to get to Launceston, which adds an extra 1.5hrs travel time (one way). It's almost entirely a two-lane 'highway' and, if you get behind a logging truck, you're pretty much buggered as there's nowhere to pass.

Coffee is brewing. 29° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with lots of sun. Did cleanup of garden pond. Then put net over it to stop leaves from falling in it. I ma still feeling all that work today. After doing some painting on chicken coop repairs. Will be a rest day.

good morning all
37 going up to around 60 in sunshine today

Ken, hope you are feeling better this morning
Popgadget, still thinking of your wasted day. Too bad you can't send someone a bill for that.

Sassy looks like she just had a nice trim, perhaps a fluff and puff at the doggie den?

Mostly, that's a lot of rain. Are your bike tires "all season"?
better question is are you all season?...

quiet weekend planned, might go for a drive to see last of leaves.

let's all be thankful for what we have.

Took the Mustang for a run today. I called into the club to say hello to the guys even though I wasn't flying. Too crook in the hands and the gout in the toe. (Improving) Then I called in on my daughter and some other friends and then the chemist and groceries on the way home. Fairly hot day again and tomorrow will be the same.
Daughters dog is going tomorrow so hope no more disasters before it does. Memo to self.. never buy a Rottweiler.

Morning all! 31 here going to a nice fall sunny 58.
Oak trees are finally dropping so 1 more week of leaf pickup should about do it!
We went to the orthopedic doc and he said the wife doesn't look like she needs surgery or a cast. (good news!) She needs to stay off of it as much as possible for the next couple weeks and keep up the ice and elevation. We go back for another x-ray in 2 weeks.
Couple of projects coming up now that I have my fingers and toes back to usable! Working today on a few small jobs and then starting a bathroom cabinet removal at my sister's house.
That's all for this early in the morning. Working on 2nd cup of coffee already, up since 4 am.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good morning, the low temp was 35 and the high to 55°F. Wind S 8 mph. Sunny!

I don't know what I am going to get up to today, but you can be guaranteed it wont be much.
Both of the big jobs are done, so now it is just the piddly little jobs to do.

I wont be saying anything out loud about National cat day, my cats think they own this place now.

Beautiful pic of Sassy, Ron.

Have a safe day all
