Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 4:45AM.
Plenty of sunshine. High 74F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

I think you're pretty close on your estimate, Drew, assuming electricians make about $100k/year. That used to be a lot of money, but now, not so much.

That's a heck of a wedding cake, Kyle. Did they eat the tractor, too?

Lots of pretty leaves in the mountains, Billy. Thanks for sharing.

Someone online suggested that EMI from the walkie talkie could be creating a feedback loop, causing the VOX feature to stick. Dug through a bunch of old cables and found some ferrite chokes, but only one was the split type. Tried to slice one of the tubular ones open with an abrasive cutoff wheel, but it was very slow going and I gave up. Tried the one split choke and it didn't help (need at least two), so ordered an assortment on Amazon that should show up here today.

Made a big batch of wild rice and got it bagged and frozen, ten servings should last me a while.

Westworld continues to amuse, but there's a little too much gratuitous violence at times. If it gets any worse (a sure sign the writers are running out of good ideas), I'll stop watching.

Got a few little things done on the big touring bike, getting ready for what will probably be a wet campout this weekend over on the coast. It's at a KOA, and I have a Camper Cabin reserved so there will be no soggy sleeping bag or tent to deal with.

There was no power interruption yesterday, but the warnings are still up for the rest of today.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

65°F and mostly clear skies, going up to 78° today.

Nice colors, wngsprd.

Good morning, gents.

Good morning! A muggy 73˚F with 85% humidity, heading to the mid 80s with a 15-55% chance of rain. I need to wash my truck to let the pumpkin color show instead of the dusty white.
Glad the weather cooperated with the weddings this weekend!
LS good to see you posting again.
Wngsprd, the colors are looking better each day!

I tried to make a thicker creamier soy milk by adding more soybeans to the recipe in my Nutr milk machine. I over did it and added too many soy beans and it looks like cream of wheat so back to the basic recipe.

Morning, been raining but warm at 55 to start the day.
Didn't do much yesterday, just general cleanup and resting.

Son went on his first official date with his new girlfriend.
She is the one from the band and he has been friends with her for a while, he took her to the school dance Saturday and down in town for the date yesterday.

RS - cut away from hand not towards it! Hope the cut wasn't too deep

LS - great to see you back and sorry so many demons sitting on your shoulders. Shaking them off easier said than done. Seems you can see the sun at the end of the rain though, If you need anything, just ask.

Kyle - really neat wedding theme.

Alien - sounds like the Mrs. is doing well and I'm sure she will be glad to leave the hospital as soon as she can.

M7040 - happy anniversary and happy birthday to daughter!

Now the GE dryer seems to have a bad belt, seems these were designed to implode after two year and I am lucky to have it running for 5 :-(

Had a herd of deer walk through the back yard, and none seem to have found the hay bales so far...

Good morning.
It’s 55 and might make it past 60 today in intermittent rain.

Yesterday went out to breakfast with the newlyweds, wife and daughter. Got all the PA equipment broken down and put away, cleaned out under tent, filled all of the trash and recycling toters that we had, and have plenty of overflow. Washing silverware and tablecloths have kept our dishwasher and washing machine quite busy. Other than the tables, chairs and tent, and bathroom trailer, nothing was rented. It sure would have been nice to not have to deal with the clean up, but it is all part of the process, and another good excuse for us all to get together. I really didn’t feel like heading off to the airport when the the time to go rolled around, but made it to palm beach on time.

The ride home was interesting, we usually take the overwater route, as it is considerably shorter, and usually has the wind behind you going northeast. However we were re-routed due to a “VIP movement”. Between the wind and the extra distance it added a half hour to our flight. I would like to know who the VIP was so I could send them a bill!
At any rate I was under the covers in my own bed before 11.

Today will resume the cleaning and sorting of all the “stuff” that came out from under the tent so that it can be taken down.

It will be a slower paced day with no deadlines or pressure.

Good morning! 55 now and predicted to be 75 today. Last couple of days have been awesome weather.

Happy anniversary M7040.

Was supposed to get a haircut today, but the lady who cuts my hair cancelled due to an il”ness in the family. Definitely a little shaggy.

So not sure what I will do today. But will find something.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Good morning to all! Low of 30°, only gong up to 50° today. More wind this afternoon, 20-30 mph, gusts to 50. We did get just over a 1/4" of rain last evening. No snow overnight, I am definitely not ready for dealing with snow, so happy about that!

BEF, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (I think belated?)

Doug, glad to hear that Leslie is doing ok and that it might not be too serious.

M7040, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Hope you have many more! And a Happy Birthday to your daughter!

Drew, good luck with the freezer search. Seems some stores have stock, others not so much....

WNG, beautiful pics of the trees in color, thanks for posting. The Sandias definitely don't have a display like that..... except for the snow (3-4") on the crest. I don't mind it up there.....

Not sure what I'll get into today, aside from a run into town early this afternoon, then stop at the CU after getting back. Wifey submitted a request for a shelf to be added to an existing shelving unit.... we are still in the bid/ negotiation stage.... might try to finalize the contract and get that done.

I hope everyone has a great start to the week!
