49 outside this AM. Coldest it has been in a while.

Energy conservation today. Rain will be hit and miss. Need to go looking for some firewood in the back since the stock is rather meager for this season.

While feeding the animals yesterday a bald eagle had landed on the corner lot in the back. Would have made a great photo op, but no camera other than the cell phone. I stopped for a few minutes just to take it in. Not sure what it was doing or looking for, but today I plan on being armed with the zoom just in case.

Took the truck to Costco yesterday to get the free tire rotation, balance, and nitrogen top off. Rides even better now. While there, got the annual quad flu shot, and picked up some groceries. My wife had PT nearby, so joined me for a while to eat a slice of pizza while I waited. The tire center was quite busy. Came home and picked up sticks from the big wind for an hour, and pulled some weeds.

More rain today. Been raining since Saturday. It may rain tomorrow. This should wash down the hog manure at the farm. I'm thankful that it is light rain. A rest day is good but I'm ready to get some stuff done. I got some more downed trees cut up and moved to my neighbors place Friday. Still more that could be cut up. Our leaves are changing too but there is still a lot of green. I may have to dig out a raincoat and go for a walk this morning.

incoming email had me wide eyed, email from Toppop/Randy Wilson. Of course, it wasn't....was his wife Ellen reaching out to me in response to an email
I sent Randy a month before he died in August, asking him if he wanted a visit. I never heard back, and Ellen must be going through his emails.
I'll call her later this morning and will give her all our love and best wishes.

need to go pick up some lab scrips this morning from primary doc, for some reason they won't email them, so I can get into hospital early tomorrow morning to get a battery of
labs for both primary and endocrinologist. I have to fast so want to get in early, around 7am before they get too busy. I might also go over and pick up PET report from another building there.
Thankfully if it had been anything bad, oncologist would have called right away. No call, no news, good news, one hopes

Good morning, the low temp was 44 and going to a high of 66°F. Zero wind. Mainly sunny.

Two nights ago I tried a toasted scrambled egg sandwich. It went down so good that last night I added soft bacon to it.
Me and the little Orange and white tomkat finished off 1/3 of a two litre (quart) container of Peaches and Cream frozen yogourt for dessert.

I'm not making any promises, but the truck might be back in Markham by Friday.

WOW! Toppop is dead?! When and how did this happen?
