Big Cars are killing Americans

I saw the video of the bicyclists who got hit in New Jersey. It sure looks like he ran a red light and he was lucky. I saw the councilwoman said she hit her head and turned herself in later, made up story in my opinion.

I started putting a lot of miles on a bicycle about 10 months ago. I never run a red light. I usually roll through a stop sign if I can see well. When I say roll through just enough speed I don’t have to put my feet down.

She thinks she’s above all of us and will get the better side of the “unequal protection under the law” that’s been around for many years.
No jail time-probably a promotion.

Never ceases to amaze me...we will be on an interstate highway and a car is passing a truck...maybe doing 1/2 mph more than the truck. Once they finally get past the truck, they speed up. Where do they teach this? It happens too often to be a coincidence.

I learned that when passing, you go as quickly as safely possible and change back into the right lane after applying your turn signal, as soon as you can see pavement in your rearview mirror between you and whomever you passed.

I often drive a 40' diesel motorhome and tow a car and it amazes me the number of people enter onto a highway and don't look at what's in the right lane until they're forced to merge and then some brake it instead of speeding up and merging. Idiots. We can't always move over and we're not mind readers whether you're paying attention.

This is my daily commute. I have no idea why they do this. It takes very little common sense to realize that along the side of the truck is the most dangerous place to be. True idiots.

There you go again predicting the future. Since you seem to have that ability, how about some winning lottery numbers so we can all get something out of your comment besides cynicism

Last time I glanced at the sign on the on ramp, it said 'Merge', not surrender. People come down a on ramp and stop dead at the end like waiting for someone to stop and let them in or the merge at a speed well below what traffic is moving at...duh.

Yep and don’t linger next to larger trucks. Tire blowouts can cause significant damage and unsecured cargo or trucks over 102” wide can create difficult situations. Pass larger trucks quickly.

ast thing i intended was the thread to devolve into politics.
OK then lets make it degenerate into GRAMMAR and syntax
DEVOLVE means to transfer authority to do a thing from one agency to another.

In the last several years one hears all manner of uneducated talking heads on TV using it as a substitute for DEGENERATE.
It is not.
In their ignorance, they imagine it is some shortened form of De-Evolve. Which, to my knowledge, is not actually a word.
That's just more destruction of the best language on earth
WORSE, the worthless turkeys who make the dictionaries (lexicographers) have stepped up their habit of dipping into the gutters to find the latest bastardizations of the language so they can incorporate them into their increasingly useless dictionaries.
