still no broccoli
who knows broccoli? When does the center start growing? I'm just growing these enormous collard like leaves.

WOOHOO! The fence is done! (For now anyway). We will be extending one end of the fence 2 sections, then installing 2 "L" shaped sections at the driveway entrance, 1 on each side. They will only be 4' high. More decorative than purposeful, just to "tie the look together" as per SWMBO.

I'm wore out..... time to get a shower, munch on something, and put the feet up. Maybe a bowl of IC while watching NOVA on PBS

Tuesday Tummy Day...they spend LOT of time resting in the new recliner like today.

My wife says they are definitely tummy rub worthy.

Drew, garden looks great! The broccoli should start putting up the center relatively soon..... our had monster elephant ears for leaves, then finally saw the center head forming.

Unfortunately, no veggie garden for us this year. Too much other stuff going on..... just tree saplings and outdoor plants in the greenhouse.

Think any teachers are armed? My guess is, none...
And, if teachers aren't willing to be armed, then a school resource officer has to be hired

We have armed guards at banks, airports, border crossings, and many other places. Our children are more precious than diamonds; why not protect them the same way?

Here's my idea, and I may have shared it before. I have an entry design in my head, that would make it difficult for anybody to get into a school. It would cost maybe $150-200K. But all other doors/windows on campus would have to be fortified too. Also, I believe we should use retired LEO's in every community. Offer them a part time, half day maybe, of work to come in and love on the kids. Pay them some amount, and make it a nationwide rule that that money is not taxable, nor would it "stack" on top of their retirement income. Just give them a check every 2 weeks. I figure a dozen retirees could cover each school. Maybe a few more.

Only very weak minded people...

Or kids who that's all they do, with most of their spare time, everyday, and have few friendships.

Talking about protecting and saving our kids is not politics. Modifying 2nd amendment rights is politics, which I'll avoid.
