58F clear sky mid 80's for high.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...wood yet to be deliver so no stacking wood :( guess I'll just putter today follow by date night.

National Blame Someone Else Day and being Friday 13th...hmmm.

Enjoy your day all.

Labrīt!

Oh no.... some already have a daily problem with blaming others, they don't need encouragement.

Eric, hope you all are alright.

Question for all of you who live in countries where you drive on left side of road....When walking down an aisle in the store, do you favor left side?

I see where Hungary is not helping Ukraine at all, nor allowing weapons shipments across it's land. Because they are 90% dependent on Russia for energy needs. Beholden to bad... They say they are staying true to themselves. OTOH, they have not fallen to some of EU's trends.

Sweden and Finland wanting to join NATO. No telling how Russia will retaliate. Could be trouble.

Need to mow as I typed yesterday. Hope to use electric mower to trim up close to buildings/trees. Put green stuff on compost pile.

I need a yard vac with a fine mesh bagging system. My bermuda grass has it's seed stems sticking up right now, I could harvest a bunch of seed. Bermuda seed is maybe .5mm size.

Alien, hope you and wife continue to get well, and stay out of flood waters. Hope they rains subside. We need some rain here.

Mostly, hope your trip is fun and safe.

RNG, glad you made it home safely and had a decent time. Sorry about friend getting Montezuma's revenge while there. Hope your 15% grade is good enough for you. I agree, that is still quite a bit. Is Starlink working well all day?

No shortage of things to pray about. Trying to only worry about the world's "today" problems.

Prayers for all, especially the sick, our country, and Ukraine.

Good morning! 69˚F heading to the low 90s, partly cloudy, South wind.

Roy, did you look at the temp right? you are almost at our temps.

New trail officially opens today, however The trail Maintenance, the third trail group I'm in, is calling a work morning spreading mulch from the limbs that came down in the snow 2 years ago. They cut and piled broken trees and limbs this Winter when I was recovering with my knee so I have no excuses now.

In the news: A bug bite that causes meat allergies is on the move. We can blame Thomas.

Ken, very pretty. Great view from your deck. You can see how you have "taken back" from the woods, as it would surely do to you if you if allowed
The woods always tries to grow into the fields, Mother Nature always on the move, one invasive species dominating another.
Thankfully we have sharp gardening tools and powerful mowers...
It's sad the ash trees died, good for firewood, and good for getting more light down to the ground. More room for a veggie garden...

saw an interesting map on derechos. Until a few years ago, had never heard the term.

62 and drizzle going to 74. Been busy outside this morning.

Alien, hope the flood is ending for you.

Mostly, safe trip!

Kyle, good question about walking on the left side of the aisle...I notice some people just going down the middle and blocking both directions...probably how they drive on the roads. Good luck on the new job...making videos for the old job is a great idea.

Thomas, hope the trespassers don't come back.

Sodamo, glad Sophie's bite is better.

Don, my wife was diagnosed with alpha-gal from a lone star tick bite 3 years ago. We don't eat a lot of meat, but nothing but chicken, turkey and fish for her...as well as for me, most of the time. A friend of hers has it so bad that she can't even eat cheese, milk or gelatin products.

My wife hosted yoga yesterday, so back to the mountains for me. Finally decided to tackle the Bear Church Rocks, in the fog and drizzle...so peaceful and beautiful. Also hiked over to Jones Mountain cabin. I'll try to post a couple of pix.

Yep...fluctuations aren't unusual this time of year....over the next 10 days, the highs will range from the mid-60's to mid-80's. Lows will be as low as 60

Good Morning
61 and won’t make 70 if the forecasters are right. Yesterday got warmer than forecast, and had quite a bit of unforecast sunshine as well.

Yesterday I worked on the mailbox post a bit, it’s 3” schedule 80 pipe with 3/8” flanges. I’ll bolt the flanges together with stainless bolts to make it frangible. Got the digger on the tractor and tested it, it works quite well. Still need to deal with hose management, I ordered a spring hose tender for a truck tractor from Amazon, I’ve used them on other implements with success.

On Wednesday, I think that I mentioned that there was considerable turbulence, I took this picture of the clouds, showing how disturbed the air was. You can literally see the waves.

Not sure what will consume today, but I’ve got plenty to choose from, hopefully ending the day playing music.

Alien, do you drive through that water? It looks like it would carry you away.
