Yes, and I have a black 3PH splitter as well, maybe even the same brand - Back Diamond. However, I don't split wood that big. 2' is about the biggest I can get into the splitter, it can handle more but I can't. I only use wood for backyard campfires and for my smoker.

I've got about 1 cord split and stacked in a wood shed, it will last me for many years.

I got mine from Northern tools a little over 20 years ago & it's vertical or horizontal, & I prefer vertical as I roll everything to the spliter & use my other tractor with a FEL to bring the rounds over & stack & I usually go thru 2 cords or more a year & all the wood is off my property. It's a bit slow but beats doing it manually.

Got my horizontal/vertical splitter from Northern Hydraulics about 30-40 years ago. Back then there were few manufacturers or you made your own. Have replaced the engine, tires and hoses. The original Tecumseh engine ran well but the carburetor stuck out like a sore thumb and was prone to get broke off. Honda engine better in many ways.

Prefer to split vertically as the 22” long x ~24” diameter oak rounds weigh 300-400#. Also remove bark if needed and better sizing the blocks for a wood stove.

Have gone from burning several cords per year to a cord lasting several years with minisplit heat pump. What works best for my economy.

That's a interesting log splitter ! Never seen one that has it's own hydraulic tank, & works off the pto that probably splits wood allot quicker than working off the internal hydraulics with rear remotes like mine.View attachment 727441View attachment 727441
home made. found a hydraulic pump in in the junk at work and started from there. everything is drops or scrap. only items purchased was cylinder, controls, hoses, and pto shaft. have a little over $400 in it. even the paint was going to be trashed. the pump came from a boom truck so is fairly high volume. it works pretty well. faster then tsc splitter my parents had.
