How does gas well work? Curious...sounds interesting. My parents home my Dad & Grandad (both rip) built 1948, cinder block, poured concrete with copper pipe in floors for hot water, radiators upstairs. House is very comfortable and warm floors to walk on.

I have 200amp service. That will cut the cost of installing a 240V charger that draws 80amps.
Tesla - 80 amps
Dryer - 30 amps
Microwave - 10 amps
Double oven - 50 amps
TV/ lights/ coffee maker - 3 amps
A/C - 20 amps. (nat.gas furnace and hot water heater and stovetop)
Total = 193 amps.

If I had an all electric house I would have to get 250 amp service or just be cautious of what I'm using when the Tesla is charging.

Wouldn't you want 300 amp service and wouldn't you have to have larger gauge wire coming in...maybe even a larger transformer?

Did you read the article? It didn't say the UK was banning individual car ownership, just that 37% of people living in cities might give up car ownership if ride-sharing services existed. Is that fascist?

Very common not be able to own a car on the city, it's just no space for parking and many streets are not open for privat driving, so can't drive to your flat.

I did and it sounds like that is what they are going to "try" to ban new petrol car sales in 2030. They're not requiring old ones to be turned in and new hybrids will still be sold so gas stations aren't going away. The articles I read projected more like 2050 before gas cars are off the road. Who the heck knows what options will be available by 2050! So I still say your cries of fascism are wrong.
